I stopped after it told me I could now remove the USB device... I think it restarted twice but I think I missed the first time it said to remove it and left it in when I drove car again and did updating again then showed the screen to remove stick
Needs the fins painted for authentic look :P I like it more but I believe it needs to be painted semi-gloss black with argent fins, CDC sells it unfinshed.
I have the fp calibration kit that is similar to a gt350 cai.
So I guess it should work. The accordion style air tube you inserted into the jlt box is part of the kit?
So you had to fabricate a custom air tube extension to reach your JLT airbox and also drill a hole into it?
So the CDC system bolts on just fine on a stock 18+ manifold with the cover off, or something had to be adjusted since the CDC system was for Mach 1 only that have a GT350 manifold and...
Shelby has an upper that has more open vents,
but not sure anyone wants to sport "Shelby" if it is not a Shelby? It is now funny that you can 100% duplicate a 2021 Shelby GT off the Shelby store now since they custom bumper cover is no longer used by Shelby (maybe why they sell the conversion...
Same with the 18+ version, need a base belly pan/liner, These are from Air Design and they probably used a 15+ and 18+ base pan car, and I have seen the official installs and it was a base pan. Not sure about the 15+ but for my 18+ the body shop drilled extra holes to try to get the PP1...
Thats cool you got the brake numbers :) still waiting on some other Mach 1 parts, Maybe you could do the orange paint route if you already have your PP brakes? Some do very good job for $200-300 for all 4 while its still on the car.
Speaking of the exhaust, I think I read somewhere that GT 500 exhaust comes with 5" vs Mach 4" maybe Mach 1 owners can upgrade to the GT500 exhaust to fill the diffuser cut outs better?
Maybe someone will come out with an upgraded third party cat-back for Mach 1 (assuming it uses same...
I was thinking of trying out M-8200-MBA for a project
It does have several small holes cut into honeycomb on the sides for the intake. not as open as a base grill though.
FP still has not gotten back on if ACC works (they did install it on an ACC model) but have to go out and test drive it...
I think originally first time it adds the tune, it took longer, so its doing some quick check this time, I am sure the program is designed to do that in case you delete the tune off the device etc.
Also the Mach 1 belly pan since someone in another thread took a photo of it on lifts, it is definitely a new design. the belly pan completely covers where the lower K brace would be (farther back than a PP1 pan) It does still offer brake cooling even the liner has a brake cooler opening for...
A closer look at the new Fender Liner design for the Mach 1, defintely not Shelby GT350 liners, also has the new bolt holes to corespond to the new side bolt strips on the Mach 1 bumper cover.
Different Wheel well liner
GT350 has vents on both front and rear and also smaller vent. the Mach 1 has a nice tall one in front with clean angles that gradually change size. Other thing is bolts probably do not even line up right, cause GT350 uses different Fender and bumper cover...
The shelby wheel well liners have smaller vents albeit both front and rear vs the mach 1 which has larger taller vents in the front (none in rear since it's base fenders not the vented shelby side fenders. , that's a very large belly pan covering more toward the rear vs base or pp1 mustangs. It...
Hi just curious what the underside looks on the Mach 1, does the belly pan have brake cooling vanes or all flat, perhaps cause the cooling is done via the lower grill instead?
I am unable to see any Mach 1 underbody images on a lift etc.
Would love to see the exhaust setup as well.
I did same to my procal, prompted update for the PC software and also the device since I first installed and hooked it up in March. And yes I connected back to FP afterwards and it did start downloading and writing for a short time. the tune has same lettering, so no way to tell if it is...
Also different belly pan and wheel well liners and wiring harness (unless you want to do some good splicing work)
The good news is Hood/Fender/head lamps are same, so it wont be more costly by having to get entirely new fenders/hood/head lamps to do an OEM 350/500 front end.
You can buy the 350 fog kit made by Shelby America? It comes with a new fog light button dial that might work for a Mach 1 owner, but for those who have fog lights on a base Mustangs, can get the cheaper version that has just the lamps (very similar to the 18+ turn signal style) (no dial)...
