Here are 3 images demonstrating why the 2018+ 10 speed GTs are just so damn quick. And yes, I agree the actual shift time is quicker on the auto, but its clear that the time spent near peak power is what really makes the difference and why the MPH so high.
I can also see a small benefit from...
I just picked up a 2018 complete airbox. I plan on installing a 2018+ intake manifold at some point later this year.
Currently my car has a Ford Performance Pack 1 tune. Could I install the 2018 airbox (CAI) without changing the tune? would there be any benefit to that while I wait for the...
I just picked up an OEM 2018 intake airbox with plans to buy a 2018+ intake manifold. Everything I have read is that the OEM 2018+ is a good option and will flow better than the '15-'17 airbox.
Looking forward to summer!
Thanks! That's actually perfect. Since the PP1 tune is just a tune with a K&N filter and the way it should have come from the factory, for me its essentially the stock tune if I ever want to revert back.
Saves me the effort and expense in getting the OEM tune back on it before I start other...
Here is a description on how to program a replacement ECU if the original is dead and can't retrieve the stock tune from it.

I just chatted with tech support at Ford Performance. They confirmed a dealer can return ECU to stock without the backup by performing "as built data" and manually IDing the car to perform a "tear tag method"
Obviously there will be cost to this, but there is a way if the original backup can't...
Dealer used their PC. I sent an email yesterday, waiting on a response if they have my stock tune on a backup somewhere, but this goes back to May 2018!
Is there any other way to get a stock tune back on? Is it even necessary if I want to go to a custom tune?
So when I bought my car back in Sept 2017 I almost immediately purchased the Ford Performance Power Pack 1 tune for it. Now I am considering swapping to a 2018+ intake manifold, can the ProCal software be used to flash a new tune or is it only for the Ford Performance tunes?
I am trying to decide on the direction of my car and going through 145 pages to get some clear results is not an easy task.
Can anyone speak to their experience with real world results on a MT82 car with this or similar setup:
'18+ intake manifold + tune
Sealed cold air intake or '18+ air...
The 2018+ crank damper or the ATI. Would it be beneficial on a basically stock engine as well? I currently have the Ford PP1 tune, but will likely eventually move up to the 2018+ intake manifold and a new tune to take advantage of the increased RPM, but will it be beneficial if I do the crank...
For my summer only cars, I've tending to usually do oil changes every 3000 miles, regardless of time (usually 1-2 seasons). With the mustang I have decided that I will probably do annual synthetic oil changes. I'd have no issue going up to 5000 miles per season on the oil change, but will likely...
You sure about that? I have only ever seen the 2017 version in 8.5". They are the same wheels in silver that the 2015 50th anniversary came with. Never heard of a 9.5" from Ford. You have a link?
