I thought I would follow up on this. I know it's been a while but I forgot to update this thread.
The BBB couldn't help because we accepted Fords offer of the $500. We really needed the car back and didn't realize that we would get screwed by taking the offer. The BBB said if we would...
I wondered about that myself. They said the part should be in Monday morning so I should have the car back Monday. It's not my daily driver so I'll survive. I hate walking out into the garage and not seeing it there.
I just took my car to the dealer today for this. There was smoke coming from the hood vent and I could see that the smoke was coming off the header when I popped the hood. The dealer called me a few minutes ago and said they were ordering a new valve cover gasket.
Exactly! I just priced an M4 online and with options to get up to 300 hp and all the track options it got me $56,895. Who knows what BMW dealers would charge for it. My base GT with PP and Recaro seats was less than $35k out the door. Give me $21k for mods and I'll absolutely demolish an M4...
I have a question. If you use either the Steeda subframe bushing support or the BMR CB005 and do not either replace or support the diff bushings due to increased NVH, will that cause extra wear or failure of the factory diff busings? I apologize in advance for my IRS ignorance.
So how much do the SP080 springs help with brake dive and acceleration squat? Can you really feel any difference in body roll with the spring rates being almost stock?
My Mustang is not my daily driver. I like to autocross and do a track day every now and again but I don't want my wife...
For your first time you did great! The best thing you can do is look as far ahead as you can. There were several times that the car was unsettled but you'll get that under control with seat time.
This kind of CS seems to be standard operating procedure for Steeda. My 05 Mustang was loaded with Steeda stuff and when they or Koni come out with adjustable dampers I'm going to leave the street autocross class and get a bunch of Steeda goodies.
Steeda's has also given me installation help...
So I live in Orlando and I'm thinking about going to the FIRM. From other videos I've seen it looks like you are going the opposite direction that is normally driven. Am I right?
The letter was so unprofessional. I'm so glad that I didn't give my money to them.
Boomba still has an opportunity to correct all this. The cost of a new shifter is nothing compared to suing you and the business they are losing. If they take you to court it would be a very costly mistake.
Wow, I was considering getting a Boomba shifter. Not anymore. That nastygram from their president was so unprofessional. It's Boomba that needs to be going after the USPS for forging your signature.
I would be filing with my credit card company for goods not received. They almost always...
Do you have any idea how soon Steeda will come out with adjustable dampers? When they come out I'll be taking out my wallet for their dampers, ultralite springs, and strut mounts.
No thanks! Don't listen to him. LOL I'll take them for that price. I had Steeda camber plates on my 2005 and they were excellent. No extra noise, extremely easy to adjust between street and track, good price for the quality. I might wait until some struts are released and get the camber...
You're probably right. It would probably have to go past the bump stops to be a problem. I was mostly curious about a lowered car as I'm sure this wouldn't be an issue on a stock one.
This picture illustrates that if the suspension were to keep compressing the camber would start going back towards positive. Is this how the Mustang's front suspension works?
Sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread.
Did you test this on the front as well? If you have is there ever a point under compression where the front camber starts going back toward positive due to the control arm angle?
