I just measured from the of the wheel to the fender. I get 13 15/16. Here are some pictures. I got one of part of the spring compressed.

Why would having a higher rate require a helper spring? Wouldn't you just make the spring longer?

I just checked and from the ground to the edge of the fender over the center of the wheel is 26 5/8. Stock PP wheels and tires.

Since I really don't want to remove the entire strut can you measure maybe from the center of the bolt?

Thanks for checking on this. The steering response on mine isn't quite as good as I expected it to be with this stiff of a spring and this would explain it.

When you had the rev. 1 springs did you have the same drop and were you using the GT350 struts at that time?

I just checked my ride height again. The first time I checked was right after I put the springs on and it has since dropped a bit more. It's now just over 1.5 inches lower than stock.

How could there be no difference in rate but the first spring be firmer?

I went there in October and it was a blast. I can't make it this time because I'll be out of town. I was fine with the OEM fluid. I just bled the brakes before I left and when I got home. Make sure you get video to share Tom!

I need to add that my car doesn't do it if I'm starting at a "normal" pace. I have to give it moderate to spirited throttle to make it hop. I'm thinking there's no one thing that's causing this. The cradle lockout helped and I'm betting that it will take a combination of other mods to cure it...

I have the same problem with my GT PP with just under 2000 miles. It was bad stock. After my first track day I changed the diff fluid to BG 75-140 and I didn't notice a difference. I put on BMR springs and the lockout kit for different reasons and its just a bit better. Still annoying though.
