  1. Need recco - prefilter for PMAS air intake

I got the PMAS no tune air intake and would like a recommendation on a prefilter. I found these two links, unfortunately my car is not available for a few days and I cant measure my filter. https://www.jlttruecoldair.com/ZenCart/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=799...
  2. Car meets rock on freeway - Steeda jacking rails save the day

Was driving to work and a 4 inch (ish) rock fell from a truck ahead of me @70mph. Idiots didnt bother to pull a tarp over the gravel truck. The rock was bouncing along the freeway moving right from the center of the middle lane I was on. I tried to dodge it but it was too late, there was a...
  3. 6G Sponsors - Please build quicker steering ratio/response for S550

The S550 has moved the mainstream Stang from a drag and cruiser to a proper handling car - EXCEPT there are a few issues. Most of these (wheel hop, roll etc) have been extensively addressed by vendors here (thanks!) and most of us have lapped these products up. One last area remains unresolved...
  4. PP2 Different steering rack/ratio?

My biggest beef with the S550 stock Stang is the slightly slow steering ratio of 16:1. It took a lot of mods to make the front end more responsive (and they have worked). I just read the PP2 has a different ratio...
  5. Lund and AED: Passionate detail oriented tuners (+ tip I learnt if you run 91 octane)

Those of you who have worked with them already know this, but thought I'd mention this for the folks who are exploring tuning their Stangs for the first time. I've been doing research on what tuning route to go and was really pleased with Shaun at AED and John at Lund. They took the time to...
  6. Headers - how are you guys pulling this off?

Spoke to a few folks and it seems there are massive gains to be had with headers and a tune (I'm hearing 440-450 wHP on 93?). How are you all getting away with this - in WA state, after the first 6 years of ownership there are inspections every two years. I dont recall them checking the tail...
  7. Front end aero

Compared to my last car, I feel the front end at 100mph and above wants to wander a bit (there is a slight aero lift). I am looking at this as a functional mod, NOT cosmetic. Has anyone considered Canards like these (I wish they made them in black plastic, not CF)? The extended front lip maybe...
  8. Lund w Airaid/Mishimoto Vs FRPP PP2 tune

Has anyone compared the Ford Racing PP2 to the Lund tune with an Airaid or Mishimoto (looks like an interesting option) cold air intake? If I dont go the PP2 route I would prefer these intakes over JLT style intakes (open) as the engine bay gets super hot in the slower speeds of stop and go and...
  9. Any ideas why this is rusting? (and how to remove)

Appreciate the advice (my first instinct is to spray WD40 on it and use a tooth brush). Note, it was there when I had the OEM PP wheels. It seems like water is getting trapped and there is galvanic corrosion between the OEM wheel (which is cast alum) and the wheel hub (iron?)
  10. Galvanic action/corrosion with spacers

Is this an issue folks see when running aluminum spacers with what I assume is a steel hub? I've heard of instances where spacers get stuck over time... If so, what is the recommendation? Anti seize on the inner part of the spacers?
  11. Are extended set studs needed for 5mm hub centric front spacer?

My new wheels require a 5mm hub spacer to clear the wheel caps. This means there are approx 6 turns of the wheel lugs to hand tighten (around 7-8 to get it torqued right). I am using regular lug nuts. I will autocross next week. Should I get extended studs? They are very expensive! (WTF) -...
  12. Do we need to replace bolts after shock/strut install?

I did the install of the ProAction Shocks (and GT350R springs, camber plates) on Sunday but didn't replace these. Is this kit needed and should I go back and swap them out? Cheers, http://www.cjponyparts.com/ford-shock-hardware-kit-one-time-use-2015-2017/p/HW3337/...
  13. Which setting for shocks - Installing Steeda Adj ProAction + GT350R Springs

I want something controlled yet supple. Imagine BMW M235i (not M2) balance. Nothing too rough, but dont want floaty. Please let me know what setting (how many turns/clicks and in which direction) I should have the front struts and rear shocks at. Cheers, P.S- I plan on adjusting it...
  14. Here is what reducing 50 pounds of un-sprung weight (and better tires) do

I replaced the OEM Pirelli's (255/40 F, 275/40 R) and rims (19x9 and 19x9.5) on the 2015 GT-PP (which collectively weigh F-60.6lbs / R-64.3lbs) after driving around in them for over 2 years (and putting in 5 autocross days as well!). I felt the Pirelli had three strengths: decent steering...
  15. Creaking sound from passenger lower rear (suspension)

In the rear I have vertical links, CB005, BMR sways and end links, LCA bearings, FRPP knuckle bearings and Steeda red differential inserts installed. On low speeds esp, when turning or on slow bumps, braking I hear a creaking sound from the lower rear passenger side (almost near the wheel...
  16. Light rotors: Worth it?

Has anyone installed lightweight rotors and are they worth it (is the improvement noticeable)? In general, I'm a fan of reducing unsprung weight. If it's rotating unsprung even better. Other forms of weight loss usually have bad compromises and in such a heavy car doesn't really make sense...
  17. 5mm spacers: Recommendations?

Anyone recommend a particular brand/site? I noticed AM is selling these, but reviews are poor around fit (too much movement etc) on the S550. Hubcentric spacers dont come in that size anyway (As far as I could tell). http://www.americanmuscle.com/wheel-spacer-316in-9412.html
  18. BMR SP083 Handling Springs (Unused, original box) FS: 220 w shipping (continental US)

Decided not to install 'em because the drop is going to be too much. I will go with GT350R springs instead. Will ground ship from Seattle. Shipping is included.
  19. Two sets of wheels and tires (summer and rest of year): worth it?

I've heard people scorn at all season tires, referring to them as 'no seasons'. I disagree with this assessment for a few reasons and put my reasons at the bottom. Anyway, wanted thoughts on whether the new All Seasons (Michelin AS3+ for ex) are almost as good as the PSS and other leading summer...
  20. Spare for 19x10 285/35 square setup (with PP)

I am interested in purchasing a spare for my 15 GT PP. Too many issues with getting stuck on the road with a blown tire and a semi-reliable can of glue. I also would hate waiting for a flat bed if that doesnt work and have to stay at a motel. The issue with finding a space seems to be: 1)...
