I enjoy Honda shifters (used to at least) for reference.
Things I like in a shifter:
- smooth flow from gates
- less noise and vibration (but some more than stock is fine!)
- quick shifts
Things I dont value in a shifter/value:
- notchy motions between gates (bolt action rifle feeling)
-...

Apparently more than the Viper and BMW M235i in their fleet :-). Their GT has the FRPP track pack, FRPP Touring Catback and FRPP short shifter.
I think this made a huge...
http://www.edmunds.com/ford/mustang/2015/long-term-road-test/2015-ford-mustang-gt-would-you-rather-a-jag.html
This guy really loves the Stang. If you care about exclusivity and flaunting, the Jag is the better choice (I also think it looks really good, but so does the S550) - but from...
As I'm discovering with my first Stang, there are some great bang for the buck mods out there. Wow.
Background: I plan on keeping this car for a long time (hopefully it doesnt get totaled) as I really like the looks, interior, way it drives and most importantly the engine. I am also not a...

Videos showing the exhaust, fly bys, idle, interior etc are absent online.
I think this is a cool alternative to the very good sounding and popular Corsa Cat backs (and slightly cheaper too if you...
Looks like the FRPP track pack gained a significant 3mph on the slalom, same car and tires but different day. I think as far as instrumented tests go, the slalom is the best measure of handling (not grip, but balance and handling).
Tests with the FRPP Track Pack Vs PP...
On my way to work, a bloody idiot in an Honda Pilot just jerked his steering and pulled his car into the fast lane trying to overtake a truck. He didnt look, neither did he have his blinker. I was doing 70-75 and he moved right into where I was at 55.
It was cold and wet, I instinctively jerked...
Just read Car and Drivers comparo. Unless you like drag racing, it wasnt the massacre I expected it to be/the Camaro5 boys drilled into our heads.
Basically, the takeaway is, the Camaro's issues cannot be fixed aftermarket. You gotta live with them. The Mustangs are easy fixes but will close...
From the Edmunds long term blog that I follow.
"So how has our Ford Mustang GT been holding up?
Despite some serious use, including multiple track days and a "teach your CEO how to do a burnout" day, the Mustang has been pretty much bulletproof. A few editors have complained of a thud or...
Hey guys,
Chevy made a big deal about using asymmetric half shafts to reduce one of the main causes of wheel hop - harmonic resonance. This was first introduced in the Corvette ZR1 and is now in all their Vettes and Caddy V's. I think the new Camaro has it as well.
From what I've seen (I may be...
My background: I'm def not a frequent autocrosser (mostly time commitments, but hope to change that) and this was my first time in the Mustang GT (Stock).I have auto crossed 6 times over the past 8 years in my prior cars. I was in the novice class.
Conditions: 60 degrees, moist track, cloudy...
Given the M235i is more expensive (and much slower) than the GT-PP, its not unreasonable to expect the M2 to be a better competitor.
It's 200 pounds lighter (3500 for manual Vs 3700 for manual PP, esp with exhaust and wheels). The M2 is probably more stiff in race mode stock, but with the...
Visited the Seattle Car Show with a buddy. Buddy and I really enjoyed the show and were taken in with the menacing GT350 (photo attached) and AMG-GT (no photo, sorry, but what a modern take on a classic coupe look). Corvette Z06 also looked wicked, in an origami-functional-aero kind of way...
I'll be there (Novice PM, Sign #888). Instructions:
Register: I am running in the novice afternoon class. (Number 888)

Curious as to what you all think. This is the first car I've owned where honestly I feel the power, torque and delivery through the rev range are just right given the weight of the car and performance one can exploit on a street and autocross. Lots of room to grow as well on mastering RWD high...
Driven the car for 9 months now and had a chance to do a few hours of solitary serious canyon carving yesterday. Some thoughts:
Driving style: moderate/slow speeds in straights, spirited driving on 25-45mph slow/mid corners (this is a well known road).
Driven on same roads in past (owned two...
The stock PP has 27.1 and 27.7 inch total diameter (wheel + tire) running 255/40ZR19 on 9 inch F and 275/40/ZR19 on 9.5 rears. The difference is 0.6 inches leaning forward.
If you go with a square setup, same sidewall (ex: 285/40ZR19's on 10 inch tires or 285/35/ZR19's etc), you lose that...
