  1. What kind of demographic are we comprised of?

That is a long wait when considering it will be here a year sooner. A GT350 would be really nice, if it's anything like the Shelby model, making over 600hp. For me, the supercharger isn't the way to go... turbocharging is the correct answer... it's more efficient and can make more power. All you...
  2. Official 2.3L Ecoboost Thread

I wanted it for the 3.5L TT V6 as well as appearance and interior... really nice in my opinion. I spent 20k less on my Escape... got less vehicle, to be sure. Still, at little more than 1/2 the price ... well worth passing on the Explorer. I liked my last one so much, it was a must to look for...
  3. What kind of demographic are we comprised of?

When the new Mustang gets there, look into it. Odds are, you'll find it more than competitive w/ your FPV. I'd consider keeping the GT though... it's not like they'll be making them anymore.
  4. Challenger SRT Hellcat

On Allpar I've seen it listed at 4439(auto) and 4449(manual). I found that surprising because I expected the 8spd to weigh more, not less.
  5. Official 2.3L Ecoboost Thread

Me too... it would be almost exactly what I'm spending now(which is too much anyway), but I don't want a $600 monthly payment. That's why I passed on the Explorer Sport.
  6. Official 2.3L Ecoboost Thread

I thought about that briefly, but decided La Jolla, CA, is still in the USA. You're welcome, though I can only get close as these numbers aren't available publicly yet. With that, there's a table where you can look up many vehicles C02 emissions as tracked by some company in the UK or...
  7. Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) on the S550

 I've been ripped off! :hitcomputer:
  8. Challenger SRT Hellcat

Superior horsepower, yes. The rest is either an opinion or isn't superior, really... Considering its nearly 4,500 lb weight w/o a driver, the GT500 will surely, as will the ZL1, annihilate this car in basically any speed contest. On that, note: If I felt like I could afford to throw the money...
  9. What kind of demographic are we comprised of?

I had a Hyundai once too... a 1992 Excel! That one got a Mitsubishi 1.5L and got 35mpg hwy with the greatest of ease... alas, my winter beater! My Mustang only got about 16mpg hwy at the time. It also had over 500whp. ;)
  10. Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) on the S550

That is an ideal overall solution for those who just want them off, period. That's honest! It's also true to a degree... these things should be known prior to driving. LOL! Sometimes having the lights on really doesn't help a thing. If you're in with plenty of odd lighting(through a forest) or...
  11. Guess the 2015 5.0 Coyote HP and TQ numbers

Seems more to me that you'd want to end your model year on the busiest months possible, particularly when releasing an all new model. Mustangs(Camaros, Challengers) seem to have their best sales months between March and July. Those months cover at least part of winter, spring and summer...
  12. 2015 Mustang to race at Goodwood THIS Saturday (updated w/ videos)

I can't argue otherwise, as my car came with it, but what about using a NAV-TV "ALLSYNC" ?? Basically, if you have the SYNC screen, you should be able to connect a camera. Wireless would be the epitome of cool, but even wired would be useful. There was a video online of a guy "breaking the...
  13. Guess the 2015 5.0 Coyote HP and TQ numbers

The thing is, the 2010 and 2011 models... happened. :headbonk: Heh... since when does an impulse buyer need a new model year to choose from?  I know what you're saying, but to me, they should either bring out new models in September(it was successful for decades) or just do it...
  14. 2015 Mustang to race at Goodwood THIS Saturday (updated w/ videos)

That was the basic description given by a writer who sat in it for a test run... flat...
  15. Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) on the S550

They're not hearing my factory stock Ford Escape sitting at idle... I can hardly hear it from any distance over 10' myself. :p Besides, if I sit at my beach area, there's only 1 home within 100' of my dock(including my own), which was built in 2002, about 50' off their beach area. My own home...
  16. Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) on the S550

I'd love to have retired reasonably, but got hurt and that was that... medically retired in Jan. 1992. Long story short... still pissed off enough I don't like to discuss it. One of my brothers retired from the ARMY... TWICE! That's a cool story, for another time... The camera is a great thing...
  17. 2.3EB Vs 2.7 Vs 3.5

Sounds ok, but it's pure conjecture. Ford has said since mentioning the 2.7L that's it's a 100% truck engine. They've never even hinted at use in a Mustang or any other car, just the F150. The 2.3L, conversely, was specifically produced for cars. The 3.7L may remain in use throughout the run...
  18. Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) on the S550

If you run your lights all the time, that's your prerogative. Why should everyone suffer added cost to their vehicle for something they cannot even see? I have them and still think they should, if not be a choice to have regardless the model, at least have an OFF position! There are times...
  19. 2015 Mustang to race at Goodwood THIS Saturday (updated w/ videos)

I think it has a distinct sound under load and won't be all that loud at idle. Hmmm... I do believe you can simply connect a camera to it and it can be viewed directly from the screen. If you get a bluetooth camera... perhaps you can "SYNC" it...
  20. Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) on the S550

My backup camera is COOL! Also, with the way the Escape is built, it's almost mandatory... I despised the sensors in my Explorer... noise maker... My view in that thing was AWESOME! Does your S/N come from your NAVY experience? I'm guessing, since I know what a SEABEE is ... I was an OS(when...
