I think you guys got them! But, this was a rare case of that I was the cars first retail/personal owner, but purchased it August 2025. It was at Ford dealerships in Canada all its life. Was a showroom vehicle, and only accumulated 987 miles til it was auctioned in May of 2025 by Budds Wholesale. It was purchased through Manheim Flint by Jacky Jones Performance Alley who I purchased it from in Georgia, and subsequently brought home from Canada to the US by a NHTSA registered importer. So, the first in service date was 03/28/2025 around when it was acquired by the wholesaler. Crazy turn of events, but given them, I figured I’d call Ford Performance about two months ago, and sure enough my kit was never claimed!
I have been doing some research and ither posts on this forum confirmed that USA, Canada and South Africa were apparently the only countries involved for the original owners. The countries apparently paid Ford Performance a subsidy so the owner packs could be offered to the original owners. I am the second owner anyway and it wasn't a thing in the UK which is a shame. Oh well.
So glad you managed to get yours though and what a great back story too 😊

Good find Phil and appreciate it! I didn’t know that honestly. Interesting how South Africa got themselves into the mix! You know, you could go on EBay and get one. The vin and chassis number would not match, but hell, it would still be really cool!

Quick question.....am I the only one who has to have the pony's nose pointing directly at the tyre valve on all 4 wheels?

Yes, I like a little OCD in my life 😊

For example.....

And yes, every locking wheel nut is immediately to the right of the nut that corresponds with the valve too. 🤣

I’m the same way Phil! My GT350 wheels read “Ford” on the center cap and I have the valve stem at 12 o’clock in accordance to them!

Yay! As it should be. If i had my way, I would jack up the car and make sure all 4 wheels were identical in spoke positions before setting off the next day 🤣 (and then repeat LOL)

I am in a vertical line, starting with the valve positioned at the top :
  • Valve
  • Locker
  • Horse (level)
  • Wheel engraving
The original PP1 wheels are a nightmare for some of us - those that know, know …

Home made go pro cameras to get action shots of your trip, I am guessing. Very cool 😎

Yeah, Insta360 X5. It is a great 360 degree camera :) This is a little bit of footage from the S650. Mic in the engine bay. You can hear me take off, then his car and the ESS whoosh :)

Very cool story , I'm glad you were able to acquire your Mach1 kit thru Ford Performance . I was not that lucky , as the Dealership I found my Mach at was unwilling to help me . I did find a kit on eBay 2 k from my Chassis #.

And if you are looking to purchase a Specialty Mustang GT 500 , 350 , Mach 1 , Jacky Jones is the site to check out . I had the pleasure to meet Bobby Jones at the Shelby event this last May , he has the knack to finding the nice ones .
