Man...everything is so tight in there. I hope your heat mitigation is on point because these cars sure as heck like to cook the engine bay. Do you have a vented hood?

BTW...amazing progress. I check every 2-3 weeks and you're making killer progress each time, which is great.

Yessir, you’re right about everything being extremely tight! I hope I’m good on heat mitigation (coated hot side, silicone/fiberglass heat sleeves on all vacuum lines that even come close to something that can melt them, electric water pump and fan).

I don’t have a vented hood, but I have thought about a cowl hood that’s open in the back, so that when air is pulled on via the fan, it can exit at the rear. Thanks for the kind words btw.

I’ve now reached the point where things are going to slow down again while I study.

While my “to do list” is about done, the tuning aspect is going to be the most challenging thing left on the list, but I’ll have to figure it out. I wasn’t looking to go that route, but after reaching out to many tuners and either receiving “no” or no reply back at all, I purchased the Evans Performance Academy Gen. 3 Coyote tuning course to start the learning curve. Time to climb Mount Everest all over again!

Adrian, I am going to need you to go back, edit that list with red "x" 's next to the ones that you have yet to do. It's too much work for me to look at it the way it is....:cwl:

I finally found a suitable bracket for the Davies Craig EWP. The bracket was actually made by DC as well. It contains threaded/studded rubber isolators to allow some flex and/or cushion. Without this bracket, there was entirely too much movement in the pump to let it just hang from its hoses.

Note: If running this pump, DC recommends not hard mounting the pump, which can lead to premature bearing failure. Here are videos of before and after installing the bracket.

Not much else to show as of late, but the fuel system is completely buttoned up, now that my regulator is perfectly mounted. I had initially drilled the holes too large in the black bracket which attaches to the firewall and strut tower, so I had to source some stainless steel spacers (10MM OD X 6MM ID X 5MM L) to insert in to the oversized holes. I used flange nuts on the bottom to properly secure it.

In addition, all fuel lines have been insulated with silicone/fiberglass heat sleeve where they come close anything that gets hot.

I’m now focusing my attention on trying to learn this tuning stuff, so that I can bring the car to life sooner than later.

Make sure to pressure test your fuel system, coolant and oil systems before putting everything back together because Murphy's law says that you will get a leak from that one fitting or hose that you need to remove 200 things to get access to. Has happened to this 🙋‍♂️guy!

Looking good. @engineermike is a great resource with the self tuning stuff. A beacon of knowledge. Good luck and let's hear the vroom vroom soon.

Some of you may remember the issue I had with the insides of the tires making contact with the wiring harness on the passenger side (from the wire tuck) and the clutch slipper solenoid on the driver’s side (after relocating it to the wheel well). I had been waiting for about a month and a half to get my steering rack travel limiters from SLRspeed and they finally arrived today.

The kit came with 8 limiters and I decided to install 3 on each side.

Note: The driver’s side shaft was smooth on the end where the limiters were installed, so they butted up to each other. The passenger side is a jack-screw shaft. To install the passenger side, I had to put each limiter in the low valleys and therefore, they are spaced out a little (nothing I could do about that). I still have to install the ear clamps, but I wanted to think on it a bit and decide whether it makes sense to install a 4th limiter on the driver’s side only, to compensate for the spacing between each limiter on the passenger side.

What do you think the turbo is capable of?
Twin turbos or one? My mechanic is already trying to talk me into twin turbos making 1300-1400ish hp. 😳🙄😳🙄😳. They make insanely huge power at their shop. I’ll all ready thinking about D1X next year. I had great success in selling my PISC1 and upgrading to the P1X, so I could easily do the same for D1X, but 1300-1400 hp is still insane

Obtw, I’m getting all of the suspension work done in two weeks.
