DBA Race Performance Brake pads....anybody use these yet?

I just put these on my Mach 1 and will be testing/reporting on these this Sunday. I have been exclusively using G-Loc R12 and R16 but want to try out others. Has anyone used these and if so, thought? Flyhalf's post about his car being faster than the GTD got me stalking his build page and I just ordered some of the Counterspace Garage pads to try next month.

"DBA brakes" - are you talking about pads or rotors?
I use DBA rotors and have no complaints. Though if your budget allows and you want the best, go Girodisc.

Cool. I used DBA rotors on my ‘02 Formula for high speed/top end stuff back in the ‘00s and they were the only rotors that withstood it. Good to see these pads and I bet they’re gonna be performers. Interested in pairing some with my Girodiscs now.

I just finished bedding the pads and I’m a bit skeptical of how they will work on track. They are quiet. Like normal street pad quiet. On about the 4-5th hard deceleration, they became more grabby. Nowhere near the R16’s but better than the stock Mach 1 pads. Next update on Sunday. Definitely bringing my R16’s just in case.

I would caution the use of them. From what we see they have a narrow window of opportunity.

DBA (Disc Brakes Australia) Race Performance brake pads have an optimum working temperature range of 250°C to 750°C (482°F to 1382°F), and are specifically designed for track use where operating temperatures remain above 350°C (662°F).Temperature and Performance Specs Minimum effective range: Starts functioning optimally at 250°C (482°F).Maximum stable threshold: Withstands extreme heat up to 750°C (1382°F), with stable friction performance maintained past 630°C (1166°F).Design threshold: Engineered for heavy-duty track applications where baseline heat stays over 350°C (662°F).

They sort of fall into a band between R8's and R10's. If you are running R12-16's you may get in trouble, they are good until 1800-2000F. R10's handle up to around 1400+F but work down in the 200F's. The DBa's seem to not want to work until 500-600F.

Interested in the feedback on track.

Ya, the more I think about it, the more I just want to avoid any issues and put my R16's on and call it a day. I'll do a spirited drive tomorrow morning and decide.
