Do lowering springs =track only with the handling package splitters? Different splitter =more performance and durablity?

I want to keep my 2022 MACH 1 W/HP as somewhat of a daily driver and road course car.
When you do the Steeda/whoever lowering springs am I assuming correctly if you have the MACH 1 with handling package it really makes it a track only car? I say this because my stock ride height causes major scraping of my splitters just entering and exiting my driveway and every place else, even though I go with extreme angles. I have problems sometimes on roads in and around the mountains, actually every where, that I don’t know and then end up scraping on stuff. I imagine if the car is lowered another half inch that it’s only gonna be worse. I’ll destroy my splitters once a week.
The other thing is, I’ve been told by some people that the Mach 1 stock splitters are just for looks and provide no benefits.
Some people say that no, there is a little bit of a benefit for both cooling and downforce.
Or should I just leave the stock lower of the 2 splitters off, so that I’m not tearing it up all the time? And would this work if I add lowering springs or would I then be asking for more of the same trouble?
The other option would be just to leave the springs alone and remove the lower splitter. Or replacement with somebody else’s after market splitter That is more durable and possibly more functional? I want to drive without tearing up my car when the splitter does hit something or an off track excursion digging in and then causes an even more extreme car damage?
Thank you.

Yes, if you lower it more, its going to scrape a LOT more often.

Most lowering springs won't improve the handling, they're 90% for looks. Everything in suspension is tradeoffs. Often the lowering springs are not stiff enough so you just end up bottoming out more and don't gain any additional control over the body movement. You can scrape more and still not be any faster on a track.

Some lowering springs will help... some.

As for the benefits of the HP splitter, I don't have data, and aero is hard to judge from just the looks.

I’m on Steeda progressives. 1.2 inch drop in the rear and inch in front. Koni’s all the way around. I very rarely scrape and don’t track the car. I do drive on twisty mountain roads almost every day.
I can tell a big difference in cornering and less dive when braking hard also.

Do you have a Mach 1 HP splitter?

Konis make a much bigger improvement in handling than those progressive springs

I think there are guys that modify the attachment method of the lower splitter to make it easily removable. Then they put it on only for track day (and drive carefully to the track lol).

You might try search.

Meanwhile I'm pondering making my own lower splitter on my GT.

The other thing about going with a true high functioning, front splitter is then I would have to put a big wing on the back.
I’m trying to keep my car as low profile as possible. But at the same time I do enjoy Performance but I prefer sneaky.
that is why I’m having my louvers painted the same color as my car hoping that they’re not as noticeable. Otherwise I would just save the money and not paint them. I think they look good and in black From Race Louvers.

The stock aero does work. But it's a big compromise because 90% of owners just want the looks, not the function.

Stock aero is much more drag focused. Track aero is all about efficient, actual down force. Yes you will scrape more lowered. Especially with the canned options out there, which lower the front more than the rear.

I think for your use case, hood vents are a good idea, and get the gurney on the rear spoiler. That would balance nicely in the aero department, and help with temps.

Lowering your Mach 1 with the Handling Package will absolutely make street driving much more challenging. If you are already scraping at stock height, dropping the car will make your splitter problems significantly worse.
