Who switched their 10R80 10 sp auto transmission to TR3160/Tremec 6 sp manual? What would you do differently?

I noticed that: Qcman17, Bob Law and RNM agree with 2015 Silver GT statement of (transmission, fluid flush at 5000 miles? That’s just ridiculous and asking for trouble.)
So fellas, How is putting fresh transmission fluid asking for trouble exactly? Fresh non burned, non metallic shavings is bad how?

Should we always take out the new trans fluid when the vehicle is new and put old in? And if so how old, how many thousands of miles of heat, temperature changes, shearing, how many metal particle, etc.?
Should we put used transmission filters in also?
I would really like to hear some facts, experiences and proof.

I am not a transmission expert, but I’ve never heard of taking out fresh transmission fluid and putting in old transmission fluid or putting in old used transmission filter’s.

Leaving in the original filter and fluids for too long has always been a bad practice as far as I have been educated also!

‘Why do manufacturers and companies not sell used transmission fluids and filters as an upgrade, or at all? I have never seen or heard of this!

Even the manufacturers and service companies recommend changing to new filters and transmission fluid.

This all is shocking and mind blowing to me if true!
It is as if someone said the world is flat!
I mean why go all the way to 5000 miles when you could change it every 500 miles? Surely that must be even better than what you are doing now? And if it's still eating itself at 500 I'd recommend changing it every time you go to get a quart of milk. :)

I see I failed to mention here that I do road course the car and daily drive above 50f. So my 10R80 probably gets a little more wear and tear than most daily drivers only.

so many things wrong in this thread, but this solves them all…

What i would do if I was you?
Get the new 10speed in. and sell the car.
…I mean, if you are chewing up multiple transmissions in the same way, perhaps the problem isn’t the transmissions 🙈🙉🙊

Yes. Get the car fixed and sell it. Then buy something else. You will do much better financially and it will take a lot less of your time compared to trying to do a manual transmission swap. In an 80s Fox Mustang you could swap the trans and ECU not that big of a deal. You could even leave the ECU alone and you'd only have some very minor drivability issues. In a modern car, the manufacturers make it a real pain to make that kind of change.
