Does anyone in here have the Procharger 50 state legal kit on their Gen 3 Coyotes? I just wondered how you like the tune it came with, what kind of power it made, what the belt swaps are like, and any other info you have.

I have what is reportedly a Procharger P1X "canned" tune for a 2021 Mach1. If this is true, the supplied tune is pretty bad. They didn't rescale the torque and spark tables for loads above 1.1 (boost). The torque tables use oem-like values, which means it reports a low torque to the trans logic and clutch pressures will be adversely affected, amongst countless other issues caused by a bad torque model. The timing is lowered for boost, but the scale stops also at 1.1 load, meaning your timing will be unnecessarily low at 1.1 load and will not continue to retard as load increases above whatever it was designed for. That's after a 30 second review. I'm sure there are many other issues, but I don't trust any aftermarket tune either.

The whipple tune is a lot better, but still not even close to an oem-quality tune. The closest thing you’ll find to an aftermarket oem-quality tune is Roush.

The procharger tune has too much knock. The kit fits just fine. I would get the stage 2 smog legal kit. Belt changes are just like stock pretty much. You can see around 600-640whp. With a new tune smaller pulley you can make a lot more. You start running into belt slip on the 6rib belt. I don’t think they make a 8rib setup so I had to buy all the pulleys separately and piece it together

Ok finally someone who got the kit! I’m looking for about 600-650 so that sounds good. I’ll probably go stage 2 smog legal. Oh also how is the BOV it comes with? Make decent noise?

The bov that is included has a filter on it and is pretty quiet. I use a tial but you can ether get a different one from procharger or eBay has an adapter for almost any bov

If you use the procharger tune do not do a long hard pull then turn around and do another one. You can crack a ring land. Give the rings time to cool

Vortech has a smog legal kit if that is your goal. I had excellent luck with mine.
