The active exhaust maps are likely changed for idle. With a tune you could get the exhaust fully open at idle in track mode, it may have been partially closed with the tune revision.

I just had this installed yesterday, and I haven't had a chance to drive it much yet, but so far, I like it. The biggest change to me is the auto transmission shifting. There might have been a way to tweak it without this upgrade, but this has definitely smoothed it out.

Working good so far, I was recently curious about E85 flex tunes, and would be nice if any of the tuners can work alongside with this kit already installed. I recall seeing one provider actually have a drop down menu option stating the "2018+ FRPP GT calibration kit" for a custom tune, but cannot seem to find it anymore.

You may be thinking about the FRPP engine controller for the standalone crate engine controls. You should be able to get a tune for E85 with the throttle body and GT350 air filter.

so literally the existing install is just stock 18+ manifold + GT350 throttle body + GT350 CAI even not exact in dimensions as the stock Bullitt / Mach 1 while that one would be GT350 manifold + GT350 throttle body + GT350 CAI. the 87mm body + adapter in kit would have same behavior as a regular GT350 throttle body?

I've been running an Ortiz E85 tune since shortly after the kit came out.
My car isn't happy on a flex tune though the log says it should be.
YMMV
Do not lose your procal!

yes keep my procal safe and had last used it again to change to larger tire diameter. wonder if custom tuning can add a bit more vs the stock tune for 91/93 besides E85. I heard somewhere that Livernois was behind the original FP canned tune.

Yes, I understand it Livernois also.
I asked about a 93 tune not long ago and was told that he would need a log to see if more can be squeezed out of the 91.
The FRPP tune is very good and I actually prefer it over the Ortiz 91. I'm not sure it's faster but it drives better.

yeah I am too afraid to mess up the smooth A10 behavior that the FP tune provided

I ran E30 in my Mustang GT with this kit with no issues. The car ran like a scalded dog. It likes octane.

Yeah but that is a bit of a chore for a daily driver if having to figure out the right amount to mix 91/e85 since I have not seen a local E30 station in SoCal.

Someone else did pair the Soler 87/91 ported throttle body with this kit and got snappier /smoother throttle response.

They are the same throttle body so yes. Pull a few tunes from the HP tuners site you'll see the throttle body tables are the same too from my limited understanding. The differences between Mach 1/FRPP tune look to be in the timing tables used to achieve the power.

Run the tank to almost empty
Add 4 gallons of e85
Fill the rest with 93
