A few more edits and I’m done. I just sent this to the printers. It will be small, just 12”x18”.
google ai and ChatGPT couldn’t fix the red stripe issue… oh well. I’ll try this for now and see how much it bothers me at the show… 😁

Another dead giveaway on an AI generated car, no matter how darn good it is...tire lettering. Have never seen it get that right.

Maybe I'm just different, and I mean no offensive to anyone that ever goes to events and has boards for their cars, but isn't the whole reason going to said events to talk to people about the vehicles you bring, their cars, or any other vehicle there? Isn't half the fun talking to random people that came to see cool and special cars, or other owners that have the same interests?

Again, I'm not saying anyone that does boards, displays for the vehicle, or little die cast cars or stuffed animals in the car or under the hood or dash board. Maybe things have changed over the years since I've gone to a show, previously lacking a vehicle I am actually proud of putting money into.

Back to the original post, my apologies as there are no ill wishes on what you like to do or prefer to at said shows, but what is the whole reason for the display board and why you have a printer doing it for you?

I'm in the boat that i think it's weird that you take a stock car to a car show.

depends on the car. I wouldn’t take a base model ecoboost.

but a gt350R is very special.

car shows are usually about stock or restored to factory stock cars. There are other categories too, customets, hot rod, etc.

But this car totally belongs.

I try to go to as many shows as I can. 9 times out of 10, people don’t know what the R is. They walk by and think it’s just a regular Mustang. I am reluctant to get a board because they are typically for boomer Corvette owners.

Was at a show this morning. People didn’t believe me the rims are carbon fiber. “Why are they painted black then?!”

Sigh

then don’t get a board. But if you do nothing, one will ever get what it is.

Maybe get a minimalistic retractable pop-up atand.

My car was well received at the Mustang takeover. Over 100 mustangs were there. Believe it or not, there were 5 gt350r’s! Lots of beauties, but mine more than held its own.
I think the board was useful, especially as I was walking the event most of the time.

honestly, boards are a great idea. Your car is basically an exhibit like a museum piece. Displaying information is a high quality thing to do. I’m one who always enjoys seeing the board designs and reading all the info.

your car is rad, the board looks great and is clear and readable. I’m sure everyone appreciated both your car’s presence and the board itself.

I appreciate boards, there are so many cool and interesting cars out there I'd look right past otherwise.

I mean without a board, what are the odds many people would look at this 80's E-Class at a show and know around a year ago it sold for more than the SRP of a GTD and 2 ZR1X's?
