I’m somewhat of a novice on track (I’d say Novice+, I do have seat time just not a ton). Would you recommend more seat time before adding stuff like this to the car?
I wouldn't go expecting this to dramatically alter your car. The primary function of a splitter design like this is more drag reduction than large amounts of downforce. I got mine used and heavily discounted and honestly bought it as a style product first and functional product second as this was back before I was going any competition.

True, True, and Same. Love the comment about the Street Aero stuff :cwl:

I like the idea of the sticker on the rear fins. Might have to do that as its a pretty stealthy piece.

Verus makes some quality products and their strake kit for the GT350 diffuser doesn't quite match the subtle changes to the GT500/Mach 1 diffuser updates. (it's possible to make mods or even make your own strakes) Is there any wind tunnel or actual racing data showing the aerodynamic characteristics and cooling flow differences to the rear differential oil cooler by adding their strakes to an OEM diffuser vs using their full diffuser that covers the mufflers?

You'd have to ask them. They also sell a template and tools to allow the attachment of the factory diff cooler ducts to their actual diffuser. I believe the strokes may have been developed for class specific rule sets or for those who didnt want to have to dissect their stock setup. Back in the day they didn't have a template so I just had to kind of wing it.

Are you able to link me to where I can purchase those OEM ducts? I obviously dont have diff cooler and thereby dont have those ducts…but will get both of those items someday…

Also for those considering this diffuser. Careful of your mufflers…if you have big aftermarkets…like my spintechs…or a custom full exhaust like mine, it hits. Alot. No I didn’t cut it or anything, I don’t mind and it isn’t super noisy or anything. Just get ready for a super tight squeeze and make sure your bolts are tight. Some modification required sometimes…

Sorry and I don't mean to offend but I need an actual number. And whether the car is lowered.
DD and all that...
I do not have the car today to measure mine but I can tell you that if you back up to a concrete tire stop in a parking space you will hit the defuser fins on the concrete tire stop. I always stop when the concrete tire stop disappears from the camera view anyway and that will put the concrete tire stop right at the rear bumper and you won't come close to the defuser fins hitting it.

The ducts aren't sold separately. Theyre part of the factory "diffuser" and you have to cut it off of it.

I installed a Verus S550 Defuser on the Mustang this morning, started to rain as I was nearing completion of the install. Overall this is a nice defuser, according to Verus Engineering this one creates more downforce and reduces drag so it is not just a small bumper mounted one that is for looks. Install is not bad, I did it with the Mustang on my quick jack, you will have to reach in to the top side of the defuser to reach some of the bolts and to tighten some of the bolts.

If you install this alone use a floor jack on one side to raise the defuser panel while you install the bolts on the opposite side so the defuser stays close to level and you don't have to struggle trying to keep the opposite side raised. Not a bad one person job.
I looked at their design some time ago.... The doubt I developed was related to rear differential cooling. I think this difuser will make it worse.

Its more function over form so its not super visible on the car like those god awful street aero diffusers that are just plastic garden rakes hanging off your bumper and only add drag and weight. From most angles jts nearly invisible, but i added a few Verus decals to the diffuser strakes to draw a little more attention to it since im one of their reps.

Where did you find the encircled decal?

Look at the post above yours. Thats why you modify it to run the factory NACA ducts to feed the cooler.

I made all of the decals on the car myself save for a few like the door numbers and backing and the Verus logos. That said there are some places on the internet with similar and you may be able to call and have them make them for you. Ive actually considered changing mine since theyve now switched back to Ford Racing instead of Ford Performance.
