I think it's due to it being a late race, start times in the evening of Sunday make it less likely that the teams can pack up their stuff for a quick turn around for the next round.
PS I'm just speculating here.

It’s the same for Saudi Arabia.

Not surprised by qualifying even though the pole sitter was “surprised”. Although top 9 Q3 qualifiers all running 1:29s.

It’ll be interesting to see where race pace is. I know this will upset some, but I think RB is sandbagging a bit. The competition from Max back should be fun to watch.

While I surmise that Max will win the WDC this year, he won’t win almost every race like last year. Going to be interesting this year. If Ferrari can keep up their pace this year, I can definitely see Lewis winning some next year.

I agree with you about RB but I do not think they are the only ones. But as you know qualifying pace and race pace are two different things. This one should be a lot of fun. Go Lewis!!! 🤭

I believe 2023 was a once in a lifetime season. Although, for historical reasons, it was a blast to watch, and I’m not a Max fan, I do hope we get more variety on the top step of the podium this year.

I take back what I said. Verstappen is gonna win every race. That lead gap was ridiculous compared to Checo who has the same car.

I felt for the on air commentators. They did their best to try and make P3 to P8 exciting. But it’s only one race. Let’s see what happens next week.

Go Lewis!!! 🤭
Hello; Well, he beat 12 other drivers anyway. Of course, he is behind six other drivers including being behind his teammate by two places. If things hold true next year he can be inthird or fourth place.
