Cammed coyotes let’s hear all about it

Hey guys... looking to make this coyote ‘15 sound less like a Lexus...

Anyone seeing anything negative from comp or L&M cams on our motors.

not going to lie... if I can get this bitch to chop I’ll be happy.

Ghost cam tune is what you'll need to get any chop...

I second that. f$%k spending 2 grand for a little lope and 20 horse power. how ever the OP has a high end build. So why not go for it?

Quite simply because lope is bad. It's a product of a cam running outside of its intended range... the dark times before VVT.

The only way to get a cam that liked to live in the 6000+ RPM range was to sacrifice idle.

Ghost cam tune, for some reason some tuners dont do it but its the sound you want.

I really dont know why some tuners refuse to do it though..

Most tuners also recommend catless on ghost tunes. I had Lund build me one on my 14 GT auto w/ cobra jet induction. Sounded bad ass, but would occasionally die coming to a stop. That big mono is a Beotch to tune.

FYI even with cams it won’t lope without a ghost cam tune. I’ve got comps in my car and sounds bone stock.

No I wanted to keep the torque curve, and the cr series don’t have to be limited in a gen 2.

Tuners stopped offering the ghost cam tune because it was really time consuming to create and there weren't a lot of people who wanted it. It was a novelty item anyway. Why ruin your cats(because of all the unburnt fuel going through your system) if you aren't catless and get terrible gas mileage for the "cam sound." Not to mention breathing that stuff in and smelling like a gas can while doing it. I thought we were past the 60s and 70s... Anyways, the ghost cam on these cars is borderline rice.

cams on coyotes dont chop, unless you lock them out.

You'll never get the coyote to chop unless you do tbd ghost cam tune and u can have that done with your stock cam. Lund does it and I think vmp, as well.

The coyote uses variable valve timing so we can run ridiculous lift and still have smooth idle, all the ghost tune does is switch over to the high lobes at idle

The L&M race cams have to be locked out. That'll get you done chop. But dunno if they're for turbo cars.
