It is my understanding that the painted on stripes are being done by an outside contractor. I think it was mentioned in speed phenom's Woodward dream cruise video. So no, I don't think that will be the case.
I caught that as well, which to me, is why the price of the stripes is so high

2016 Shelby GT350, 2017 Ford Focus ST, On Order 2020 CTFP Shelby GT 500 with POTTS. Car is released and awaiting shipment. I am running out of time before having to leave for Japan on July 29th.
Actually based on info here, base cars have been selected first. I was one of the few who got my CFTP pulled for build, but still as of yet not received a VIN or a build date. However, things are starting to move, and move quick. I wouldn't be surprised if your CFTP was clean and awaiting a VIN based upon the urgency to select a new color. Once the VIN is assigned, you'd have to pull some serious strings to change things.

I've come to find out that the priority code early on doesn't mean anything. I went back and forth with my dealer about getting it changed from a 19 to a 10. Someone here had mentioned that would increase the likelihood of getting pulled for build. That turned out to not be the case. However, it may or may not influence how the car is scheduled once it is assigned a VIN.

I am aware that your first CFTP fell through. However, this may be legit. If you call, and the order is clean, you are set.

Edited to add:
If it comes up as unscheduled material hold, ask for an email confirmation from the dealers Ford rep. Go ahead and explain how you got burned by another dealer that took your money and didn't have an allocation for it. I think they would understand.
The first deal was a legit CTFP Golden ticket car but the dealership decided to either take from me and sell to a VIP or the owner wanted it for himself or some rich guy offered a ludicrous amount. I believe this is a a real allocation I just hope I can end up getting it without being robbed again.

I have an update on my Golden Ticket Deal. I was given the order number and dealer code on my purchase. I called Ford Performance and the recognized the order. It is sitting as unscheduled material hold. I and the dealership rep signed a purchase agreement for $15k over MSRP for a Golden Ticket car. I coughed up a $15k deposit. I am optimistic and feel the deal is legitimate. I won’t cancel my base deal until the Golden ticket car is scheduled. I still worry about getting stiffed.

I have a golden ticket car and have decided I don’t want it if anyone is interested. It also has a $15k ADM and you can still spec it how you want. I do have documentation that this is a legit golden ticket car and will be produced for spring time delivery. PM me if interested

If it's not a legitimate deal, it will never get scheduled. The fact that FP recognized the order only means that your dealer submitted an order into the Order Bank, it doesn't mean the order is covered by a Golden Ticket. The dealer doesn't need any allocations to order a car, the Order Band doesn't require one.

Is there anyway to confirm the deal? I mean now I have a base and a Golden Ticket car on order and both are unscheduled. I don’t want to get screwed.

Yea I would be hesitant with this, unless FP rep states otherwise and if not asked I would ask if you see it as it is now does it mean it will get scheduled or not? And if it is a bogus sale, what happens to that $15k you shelled out? IMO I would not put more than $5k down as a deposit.

If there is, I would also like to know. The only person that would actually know, that you can talk too, is your dealer. As far as the dealer is concerned, a lot of them don't know anything about the Golden Ticket requirement and as far as they are concerned, they paid $2000 and have an allocation for One GT350 and One GT500. So they think that they can choose any option and if doesn't get rejected by the system, the order is good. That's not the case with the 2020 GT500. The ordering system isn't aware of any allocations, so it can't verify the allocation before it accepts the order. Basically, the only way the buyer can be sure everything is legit is when you check your status and it comes back "Unscheduled Clean".

All it takes is an honest and informed dealer to prove your car will be built.

If they can’t deliver the car of course I get my deposit back. I lost a CTFP allocation before and got the money back. I am not worried about getting my money back if the deal is bogus. I am more worried about timing with having a base car on order too. Depending on timing if the CTFP is delayed to the spring and the base car comes early in the fall I will lose my only backup plan. What if I have to give up on the base and then I lose the CTFP car too. I will be like the dog in the fable of the Dog and the bone. :(

The golden ticket car I am willing to give up has been confirmed by the Ford Regional Rep and that’s how I know the car will be a spring delivery.

You ask who the regional Ford rep is and insist that they get you written verification that the dealer has a golden ticket allocation. Then you prepare a written agreement specifying all the terms of the sale and theyn you should be good to go.

If they cannot or will not get you verification from the rep, then it's probably bullshit.

Thanks for the advice Tomster. I will take your advice. I have a written agreement that specifies the terms of the sale I just don't have written veriification that it is a "Golden Ticket" car from the the zone rep. I don't think that should be a problem especially since I have trusted them with a large down payment. They also promised to give me VIP treatment and ask the zone rep to move me up from Pri 10 to Pri 1. Will keep you all posted.

If you can get all that, then great. However the rep doesn't have that authority to change your order to a priority 1, that's Dearborn

I have an update that I think is good news. I got word from the dealer that my order is unscheduled clean and then called Ford performance where Kyle verified my order is unscheduled clean. It is confirmed to be a “Golden Ticket” CFTP car with every possible option. I still am worried though because the car is not mine until I am driving off of the lot with it. I still worry about getting screwed but at least it is locked in for color and options.
