Finished up the painting today and reinstalled. There's a bit of contamination in the lower grill that I'll have to wet sand out. It's all back together
Looks great! I still don't know how you guys are getting your pockets out. Mine were not coming out unless I cut the bracket.Very nice!
After removing mine, I decided to dremel the back off and put wire mesh on to match the cervinis upper and lower grill I'm installing.
I used heavy duty silicone on the back to keep it in place.
I used a heat gun on the plastic and a flat head screwdriver to bend the tabs back and wiggled it out. Just keep at it!Looks great! I still don't know how you guys are getting your pockets out. Mine were not coming out unless I cut the bracket.
Great mode you did there!!Very nice!

Like I said it a pain ..you have such limited space to work with because of the fog light brackets ..not easy getting them off the tabs.Looks great! I still don't know how you guys are getting your pockets out. Mine were not coming out unless I cut the bracket.
I still haven’t gotten around to trying this yet but the video I shared made it look so easy if you take off the turn signal via the three bolts. No bueno?Like I said it a pain ..you have such limited space to work with because of the fog light brackets ..not easy getting them off the tabs.
Quick question... why are some people claiming these help cool the front brakes when its obvious that the air getting thru is just hitting the tire tread? If anything, this is only for aero or for folks who just like to spend money needlessly?
My vents are blocked, I ordered new vents to paint gloss, they're also blocked. My bumper does however have venting track. The factory vents which are open for airflow from the front bumper cover to the wheel well isn’t directing air to the tire tread. Although it appears that way, the airflow at speed is being directed over the front of the wheel, pushing air over the brake rotors.
I’m really surprised some of you 2018 PP1 owners have blocked off vents, they should definitely be open. My prior 2016 EB w/PP and my current 2018 EB w/PP both have the correct open vents in the front bumper cover - that’s part of the PP package.
So for the PP1 owners who had responded, if your vents are blocked, are you also missing the opening and associated tract from the vent in the front wheel well liner?
And you can see the vent through way on the wheel well side too?My vents are blocked, I ordered new vents to paint gloss, they're also blocked. My bumper does however have venting track.
Mine is an ‘18 pp2 with solid vents AND the opening to the wheel well. Fat luck getting ford to admit that it should be open let alone sending parts to fix it. They’ll probably claim I switched them after I got it.And you can see the vent through way on the wheel well side too?
That has to be a manufacturing assembly issue then if PP cars are coming with blocked off bumper vents, but the through way and correct fender liner is installed.
Unless there has been a production change that we’re unaware of, it has to be an error.
This is not true. I have an 18 GT PP1 with magneride and my corner vents are closed. Is yours a non-PP S550?
IIRC, only the GT and EB models that were optioned with the Performance Package came with functional lower corner vents to extract cool air over the front brakes.
