Just curious if anyone is running this pump with a BAP. Also if so how much power can that handle running E85. From what I am seeing the DW400 by itself is good for 750 HP on E85 but I don't think that is rwhp but crank HP.

I am looking to run E85 on my Whipple Stage 2 this is for a 2018 Mustang GT and wanted to run a JMS BAP with ID1000's injectors and wanted to know what a safe power level would be without overwhelming the fuel system.

We're running the JMS plug and play FuelMax on our 2018 GT along with the DW 415lph pump and ID1300's. We're on E85 and safely support the 800rwhp range. I've raced the car and went [email protected] with this setup and datalogged it. Lund Racing reviewed the logs and everything looks good. They've got the same setup but are using the ID1050x's with the same results.

Hope that helps.

Are you running the standard stage 2 pulley?

Thanks to the OP for asking the question and Lethal’s response . I am also considering this with my 18/whipple stage 2/3.75 pulley/98 plus boostan which has been 10.7@137 with a shitty 60(1.85).
I figure that is about 750 rwhp which I think is what lethal made when they went 136 mph on the whipple tune .I know their car has long tubes but not sure what pulley .
I am going to drop down to a 3.625 pulley and
add BAP to the pump which should be support/make close to 800 rwhp on Ms109 .
Am I right ?
Not sure I would want to invest in upgrading injectors to support the same power on E85

Or is my logic wrong ?
Or will it injectors whipple provide not be enough even with race gas (need less flow )?

No. We're running the 3.625" upper with the stock lower currently. The car is getting a 10 rib upgrade as we speak. We'll be running the 3.5" upper and 20% lower once it's finished.

Okay thanks so the 6 rib did fine with the 3.625"? I was also considering doing that at the same time and the injectors and BAP.

The 6 rib did great with the 3.625" pulley. I've been told the 3.50" though suffers from belt slip on the 6 rib. So at that point a 10 rib upgrade is recommended.

Did you run the 3.625 pulley with Ms109?
If you did had you ugraded injectors?

We did not. Only ran the 3.75" pulley on 93 with some octane booster. Once we went to the 3.625" we switched to E85.

I installed a DW-400 to my Whipple 2.9 2016 GT Auto. Also running ID-1000 injectors, VMP 40A (18V constant) fuel pump booster. Lund said they had customer complaints of hard starting with the DW-400 as it does not have a check valve like the stock pump has. So, I invested a whopping $4.95 at www.anfittingsdirect.com & 5 minutes of my time to install an E-85 rated 1-way check valve. (8mm barb fittings) I've let my car sit for 7-10 days without starting it...and it fires up like it's stock. So...no hard starting issue.
