You really should start a thread about that.
I keep her on a vegan diet of course.

But seriously, the internals of the engine are FULLY PRESSED FORGED. No hyperu-craptic nonsense. Heat and revving it out is a good thing for this engine. So if you treat your engine like it's made out of glass and millennial tears, you're in for a nasty surprise when you pull your stick out of your bitch. Or keep an eye on it.

If you see, the guys who are talking about running their cars had such as on autocross and track, they're not having consumption "issues."

Haha that's great. I'm trying to push mine harder, figure either it will get worse and may need to be replaced or will improve. Some encouraging signs of the latter recently...

Also, many people in this thread are at very low mileage ( < 3000) where you are unlikely to see any oil consumption.

Well looks like my voodoo has crossed the Rubicon - latest reading was 1 qt down after 350 miles of driving around town, some highway. She's gulped 3 qts over the last 1400 miles. Have an appt for next wed to start the oil consumption test.

1. How many miles on your current engine? 18,000ish (about 10K of which are track miles)
2. Have you ever had your engine replaced, and if so why? No
3. Do you frequently track your car? Track only now
4. What is the date of manufacture of your car? 09/2016
5. Have you had any engine mods/upgrades done, OPG's, valves, cams etc? No
6. How much oil do you pull out of your catch cans? Barely any

My engine only runs when it's heading out on track or scaring visitors to the house (scared the hell out of the FedEx guy in Sport mode). I don't have any measurable oil consumption at the moment, but oil is changed every 6-8 hours of run time, so maybe just not running long enough.

I’ve put over 2k miles since the last oil change with zero consumption. I’m now at almost 10k miles and haven’t had any oil consumption. I have only tracked it once so far but every time it’s driven, it goes to redline.

I couldn't say that about the GT350 I had, it burned a qt every 500 miles.

First week completed of 4 week Ford oil consumption test. Documented 1 qt down in 370 miles - excessive. 3 more to go!

PS the tech just noted (and showed me) some oil around the dipstick side of the motor. Not much and I haven't seen any oil under the car after it's parked (always in the same spot).

No oil consumption. Usually keep the motor under 3 grand except when running top end in fifth (usually to the limiter). :)

I really baby it when it's cold. The high oil pressure makes me nervous. :)

Last check was 2/3 ish qt low after ~3800 miles. I use so little I don’t check it but about once a month.

1. How many miles on your current engine? 21k
2. No
3. No
4. 1/16
5. No
6. No catch can.

Drive hard when I can. I don’t baby this car. Use only Amsoil so far and I burn samples every oil change. Why, real data vs opinion.

Just wondering how many of you don't consume oil? I see a lot of talk on here and it seems everyone consumes oil except for me and like 5 other people. I have a little over 4K miles on my car and I have yet to consume oil. I also pull 1-1.5oz out of my passenger side catch can. For the sake of data and science, I'd love to hear from some others.

1. How many miles on your current engine? 14202
2. Have you ever had your engine replaced, and if so why? No
3. Do you frequently track your car? 3 times so far in 3 years
4. What is the date of manufacture of your car? 10/16
5. Have you had any engine mods/upgrades done, OPG's, valves, cams etc? No
6. How much oil do you pull out of your catch cans? 1-1.5oz per 1000 miles 1-2 oz.

I'm thinking maybe there's a correlation between when an engine was made and whether or not it consumes oil. Or maybe it's random. That's what I aim to figure out.
I burned 1-2 qts the first 2000 or so (Per 1000). Usage gradually slowed to about 1 qt per 1000. The car is driven in a spirited manner.
