We'll blow me!! Just had a call from the dealership! 'When can you come in for a test drive?' I'm, flabbergasted, if anyone hasn't done it yet, get onto Karen at [email protected]!

Lol, when I went down to Edinburgh for the customer evening/unveiling they were full of getting owners down for test drives. That was in November I think. Not heard anything since. I'm just gonna wait on my car. I can live without another 160 mile round trip, especially as with the current weather they could sail my car right to my front door...!

just had a call from my dealer - nearly fell off my chair. She tells me they now have a "confirmed/expected" delivery date to me in w/c 25th January, so I have an appointment set with her on Thursday 21st to switch my private plate off my C5 and re-register that, so the Mustang will be ready to register on the private plate...

I hope I get it in the first half of that week as I can then get it to the detailers as I am away for a long weekend from Thursday lunchtime, so I will be well chuffed if I can get it from the detailers on Monday 1st Feb or thereabouts!

I've been religiously checking ETIS and Ford Labels. No update on ETIS and no Window Sticker. I understand that I might not get them until its actually built, but since its supposed to be built on Monday the 11th having nothing is a little disquieting.

My Kia gets serviced mid-March and its insurance runs out March 28th. I want to trade it in before the insurance needs renewing. Wishful thinking of the highest order.

I guess you have emailed the mustang email address? Were they no help either?

Please email our help desk at [email protected] we can take a look

The really good news is that I have secured more Mustang production, so lead times will all shorten going forwards
I had no idea that was a thing! I'll send something shortly.

Andy that is great news! Hopefully this is for current orders too and not just those submitted for new orders? And despite my chances of winning the lottery being low this almost feels like a prize already!

Worked for me. After 9 months of silence from all sources they (Stacey) came back in 15 mins to tell me car was already built.
Let us know when yours is on a boat. Mine was built 8th Dec and still not allocated a vessel according to Stacey.

I did however have this from the FordService member early last week...

"Looks like your Mustang is currently in transit. Looks like it was recently in Maryland. There are no recent updates"

Not sure what that means. Recently in Maryland (Baltimore/docks?) - although there were no recent updates (?) - been there a while?

Hmm, not been quite so beneficial for me, 12 months (26th Jan) after ordering it seems they are "trying to hurry it through" apparently, but as my window sticker has finally activated it looks like it has a build date of 12th Jan assigned, which means it's still ages away. And I doubt anything's going to be done to get it here quicker once it's built in reality, it'll be on a ship (eventually) with all the rest of them.

Not exactly impressed having been told it was due due for gate release at the end of October, and then a couple of months later that it was locked in plant in December... Oh well, it will hopefully be worth a 15 month wait...

Might have just arrived in Maryland waiting for one of the boats that depart next week! :hail:
