Very sorry to hear about your bad experience, Mike. I got MRT as well but luckily, I haven't had any of the issues you mentioned.

Glad to hear there are positives.

Interesting. I had Redline on my Acura, perfect fit, Redline on my Escape, had issues, with nor response when I emailed Redline. I ordered a set of Redline's that arrive Wednesday, but my car doesn't arrive for 10 more weeks.
That's quite the wait.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I had no issue with my set that were installed in March 2015. Appreciate the negative and positive feedback with all products.
So you have zero gap on your hood? I've seen three in person and they all have a gap.

Perfect fit all around. No gap. Easy install. Opens and shuts without issue. Also put some on my Father in laws 15 GT and works just like mine. If I had to say anything negative about them I wish it would open the hood higher. All in all great product second time purchasing them for a mustang.

Glad to hear that. I'm not mad they don't fit, I'm mad the way they treated me as if this was the first time I ever installed hood struts. All my other Mustangs had MRT hood struts, so as a repeat customer I figured they'd handle it a little better. And the hood definitely does not open high enough, accidentally hit my head a few times.

I have the redlines and they seem good. I agree with V8Venom, they really should have them from the factory. Other Ford vehicles I've owned came with them.

I had the ford racing ones and they're equally terrible

I have them sitting in my garage collecting dust

Stock prop is going to be good enough for me

except it's littered with branding stickers
They literally peel off in a few seconds and the adhesive residue can be cleaned off easily with an APC...

I think I will just stick with the hood Prop Rod. Thank you for helping me not be disappointed and frustrated, as this middle aged guy has got zero time for that.

What were wrong with yours?

I've had mine for like 6 months and they have been great.

I think I've read that redline designed theirs and FR just put their label on it.

I'm sorry to hear you had to learn the hard way. Buy the best and you will only have to buy them once!

Don't forget that we have the BEST warranty in the business:
4 Years on our QuickLIFT PLUS
5 Years on our QuickLIFT ELITE

Our warranty covers ALL components including the gas springs! Other companies offer "lifetime" warranties, but read the fine print as it doesn't cover the gas springs. Of course this is the only component of the system that can actually wear out! We stand behind our product!

Our QuickLIFT system also raises the hood higher than the stock prop rod!
