Just curious on how many Supercharged S550 GT's have trapped 150mph or greater?

If you have, post a time slip and let us know whether you are stock motor or built motor.

1.) Watson Racing (8.70 @156.57) Whipple/Built Motor/TH400 Transmission/Aftermarket IRS
2.) Kelly Aiken- BMR Tech (9.11 @152.95) TVS/ Built Motor/6R80 Automatic/Factory IRS
3.) Terry- Beefcake ([email protected]) Vortech/Built Motor/6R80 Automatic/Factory IRS

Anybody know the fastest Whipple S550?
I think Lethal Performance's blue wrapped car just went 10.05@141 on a marginal track. Full weight MT-82 car iirc.

141mph is a LONG way from 152.95.

Surely there's some fast Whipple builds out there.

Fastest Whipple^^^^
Added. Anymore cars using all 2015 OEM components? (ECU/Engine/Drivetrain)

The Watson car is using a 2015 chassis, but has extensive mods everywhere else. (Using TH400 Transmission, Standalone ECU, Aftermarket IRS, etc)

Not really in the same class as everyone else, lol.

I don't think I have heard of any Whipple/Kenne Bell cars making 4 digit rwhp yet, i'm sure they are out their though..

Kelly's VMP Supercharged car has gotta be up in power, but his motor is built now...

I'm more interested in physical 1/4 timeslip data, as I learned long ago...manufacturer supplied dyno data means practically $0.

First off, until I see a faster timeslip, you've got the most impressive S/C S550 on the planet right. BMR products are being used on the fastest FI S550's on the planet, and that speaks volumes.

Secondly, I'd like to see more 1/8 and 1/4 data on this forum from the manufacturers.

I see HUNDREDS of customers buying Forced Induction packages based off manufacturer supplied dyno data, with no real track proof of these kits performance.

If that all it takes to sell kits, I'll start using a Mustang Dyno and posting graphs of grandeur.

If these kits are "fast", let's see more vendor involvement in hitting the track and proving it.

When you are competing for the recreational dollar you have to admit PRICE is probably 90% of most consumers decision making. The hardcore 150+ consumers will buy MPH.

Yes, but when you factor that a supercharged upgrade will most likely involve aftermarket headers, driving up the total installation cost....you're probably in the range of turbocharger kit cost.

And if you're spending money, you might as well buy what delivers proven results on the drag strip. Be it S/C, Turbocharging, Heads/Cams/Nitrous, etc.

But back to the thread, we've got a total of (2) supercharged cars running 150mph or faster?
