Did Beefcake run 150?

Also, I thought there was a Procharger car that was in the high 140s?

I don't think I have heard of any Whipple/Kenne Bell cars making 4 digit rwhp yet, i'm sure they are out their though..

Kelly's VMP Supercharged car has gotta be up in power, but his motor is built now...
Jeff's 4.2KB car at Boostworks is at 1100rwhp.

That car was running 147 mph on stock everything (other then exhaust and converter) I haven't heard much from them in a while.

Any car with E85 and good tune, should do it, no matter the power adder.

99% of our market is stock cars, on 91 pump gas, daily drivers.
So for every 100 kits we sell, it seems 1 might see the track.

Solid!

Is that the OKC Abel Racing Car that crashed into the wall? ;(

I want to say it was running around that.

Does he have a timeslip on the build yet?
Don't think so, the car was built for doing the mile. Not 1/4 mile. They had like a 180 half mile or something like that.

Sweet build, 175mph in the 1/2 mile isn't too shabby ;)

Glad to see some shops participating in the 1/2 mile and 1 mile events.

It's good for the platform, as half mile seems to be the event of choice for high HP street car builds these days. (GTR/Lambo/Supra/Corvette and Viper especially.)

We ran the Pikes Peak 1/2 Mile Shift Sector event this summer, had a blast in our GTR.

Went 183.97 mph on a fresh build with less than 100 miles on it, making right at 1000whp.

That kind of speed brings a big smile!

i have no doublts we would be running 8s at a decent track especially with this cooler air out, but, we are very unfortunate to have

a horrilby prepped track
in addtion
that is not even open for 3-4 months during the best times to run lol

I hear you, we had the MPH to run well into the 8's...but couldn't get the track to hold the power in cold winter weather and our 1/8 mile suffered.

Looking forward to the Spring and seeing lots of new builds unveiled.

There was three clones to that car... all Red, all had F-1A's on them.
I could never keep them apart.

I know the one was wrecked, but I thought I was told it has been "reborn" and again is a red, F-1A car.

Honestly, it would be easier if they were different colors LOL.

That 138 mph car looked great at the track, just wish he would have run a drag tire, as that ended up costing him a vehicle.

I did hear he was back in a new car, with a new build, so I expect to see it out at Thunder Valley this spring.

I went 175mph at 1060whp, babying it out of the hole. Car is really traction limited, even on the 315/40r19 Hoosier R7's. This was at 19 degrees on C85.. It has a LOT more in it. :)

Unfortunately, the 186mph speed limiter kept us from going any faster than 193mph (on a 29" tire). This was about 3-400ft shy of the 3/4 mile mark. The car should have been around 210-212mph at the mile judging by those preliminary numbers.

Hopefully we can get the speed limiter sorted out with Lund and get our 220+ pass in for the spring time mile event. We also plan on participating in the half mile for TX2k and for the Houston Half Mile.

Should be a fun spring!

Yeah, finding the right tire & tire height combo is always a challenge, especially with the current software restrictions.

To say I'm stoked to see you guys competing in the 1/2 and 1 mile events would be an understatement.

1/2 Mile is by far my favorite event and I've been hoping to see more S550 parts vendors enter in these events. (Mainly as it's great to size up where we're at as a platform...in comparison to other makes/models.)

Drag Racing is fun, but personally, I prefer the 1/2 mile events. It's less wear & tear on the car, and something anybody can do relatively safely.

In the GTR world, the 1 mile events are falling out of favor, as the cars are really getting too fast for the event.

This fall a Underground Racing Huracan set the new 1/2 record at 238.6 MPH, with the GTR's not far behind.

When you're going those sort of speeds, stretching it out over ANOTHER 1/2 mile just adds to the danger factor. (Not to mention how much harder it is on the car.)

This Spring we are a Platinum Sponsor for the TX2K event in Houston, my favorite automotive event of the year.

Definitely look forward to meeting you and seeing how your car fares! We have invited Ken Bjonnes of Lund Racing, who will be racing in the 1/2 mile with their Fluid Turbo Car.

We will also be there, seeing how we do. I can't wait!
