It would have been neat if they were LCD screens and you could make them anything you wantedMine has never changed color, not that it matter as it's a pointless gauge. Should have been oil temp, intake air temp, or pretty much anything but a vacuum gauge on a naturally aspirated car.
Yeah, agreed. It's a bit of a throwback to the 60s when they put vacuum gauges on cars - maybe they intended for some retro. Or, more likely, it was just simpler to keep similar parts across the turbo with a boost gauge and the Coyote with a vacuum gauge.Mine has never changed color, not that it matter as it's a pointless gauge. Yes but we do have the center display for just that. Only wish it was bigger, offered more than 1 reading at a time, and was configurable. It would have been neat if they were LCD screens and you could make them anything you wanted
?Do you use your side or rear view mirrors while driving? It's like the same thing. You glance at the gauges. It's not something you constantly look at while driving. Enough stuff going on the road.I have an Ecoboost with PP. Both gauges between the vents are pretty useless. They are to far away and are not angled toward the driver to be viewed while driving.
I would much preferred the vacuum boost gauge be in the center display like it is on the non PP Ecoboost cars. Through a volt meter out there or something else that you don't need to look at often.
Didn't realize the information displayed on the gauges is so important that requires more than a glance. :lol:Well my mirrors are much larger and they are adjusted so I can easily see what's behind. The gauges are small and are not angled toward the driver so a quick glance doesn't cut it.
Maybe a problem with the back lighting.I'll try to get and post a picture tonight or tomorrow night. I can't seem to identify any recurring cause. Sometimes it's half blue/half green sometimes it's all blue.
