I'm not sure if I should test drive the Ecoboost or the V8? It will be the auto transmission that I test drive. Maybe I should test drive both. I want to hear opinions from both sides of the aisle.

if you are want or need to save money on your car purchase, just test drive the V6 / EB and avoid the V8. The V8 sound track will result in a lighter wallet.

The V8 won't really impress you sound wise until you ditch the shitty exhaust. Then it will lighten it every time you drive it. Test drive an Eco A6 then a Coyote A6 you'll leave with the big boy. The MPG in the Coyote to me isn't bad enough to warrant buying an Eco especially with all the issues they have when modding them to make them faster which just drops your MPG anyway for the same right pedal reason. My V8 does just fine on the highway and I get around 16 in town. So unless it's not in your budget which I would strongly suggest you put first I'd just test drive the V8 and call it a day... Or there's a ton of Eco's out there on the used market for the reason you can see on this forum. Many people buy them just to loose on them a year later trading up to a V8...

How about form your own opinion and let us know what you think. Stop being a magazine/forum reader and take some cars out for a test drive!

We test drove just about every "sporty" car under $50k.

Camaro SS, BMW m235, 370Z, STI, Golf GTI, BRZ, and more I probably forgot about. Skipped the Challenger because while I like the looks I have no desire to own one.

We started with driving a manual Ecoboost, skipped the v6 because we wanted a premium, then drove an Auto GT followed by a PP GT.

I would have been happy with the Ecoboost. Then I got my foot flat on the floor with the GT and it was all over.

Test drive the one(s) you can afford. I agree you should NOT drive the V8 if you can't afford it, because it's very likely to spoil you for the other two. The V6 and EB are both very nice if you aren't spoiled. Up to you, don't ask us what you like best.

Good choice  The GT is superior over everything else you test drove. I test drove a '12 GT then the '15 GT and never looked at the '12 again after that. Everything was night and day better.

I agree with Charles. Test drive them all and develop your own opinion. Why the need for validation or approval based on other's opinions? These kinds of threads just stir the pot of shit and it's all based on one's opinion. All 3 models are awesome for many reasons based on the owner's opinion and when the shit stops stirring at the end of the day, they're all Mustangs.

Trust me there's nothing worse than getting the wrong model only to traded it in later and lose a bunch of money on your trade. I've done this a couple of times. Do your research and test drive all 3 models and make sure you get the one you really want, can afford and can live with.

Hence your screen name? At least you have what you want now. I did the same thing. I owned an F150 Ecoturd for a little over 3 months then traded it in for m Raptor... Live and learn I guess. I'm sure everyone here has owned a car at one point that they wished they didn't buy. :headbonk:
