You would shell the bearings out of the unit LONG before you would ever reach the limits of the gear sets. (either of them) And frankly unless your over-spinning the unit past its rated RPM max, those bearings live LONG and I mean LONG happy lives. We have lots of customers with over 100,200 and even 250k miles on their units. (not to mention industrial usage with continued use 24-7)Doubtful. The straight is probably more durable for high abuse. At least that makes the most sense to me.
