A somewhat complicated installation.
Yeah, especially tightening those screws to 1.9 newton meters.....

You'll get a good shock when you see how much it cost

This may be a stubid question, but isn't the splitter part of the car you bought? It's not a extra or option is it? IMHO this should be done by dealer to no cost to buyer.

I have never been charged for a PDI or any parts that are to be installed on my cars or trucks.

No dealer didn't install . Was given to us in a box with instructions that we followed to install. It didn't really "flew" off it just came undone from the front and started scraping everywhere and chunks went flying . I have extended warranty but I doubt they will cover this.
theres your problem, you had to let dealer install it, no its not covered under any extended warranty

I plead guilty, too.

When I looked at the car at the dealer, the splitter was in a box in the trunk. I said, what's up with that. The sales guy says, before we install it, do you want to think if you may have clearance issues. I thought actually yes, my other cars can scrape a bit when I go up the driveway if I'm not careful, so I better check it out before it goes on. So it's still in the box and now I'll have to talk to the local dealer to put it on. :frusty:

Thanks guys . Wonder how much a new one would be . Only the middle section flew off. also I do remember seeing some parts of the underside where the spoiler meets the molded tabs and clips into missing, didn't think it would really be a serious issue however since everything fit okay. But like I said , followed the installation instructions and didn't hit anything while going at high speeds. I'm familiar with driving very low cars so driving this car is nothing. Still don't understand how it flew off so call me guilty or whatever but I have installed front lips and splitters before with screws and bolts and never flew off going 140+ mph and the cars were lower.

There are at least 8 screws the go into the front center of that section of spoiler. Two into four separate openings (one straight up and the other at an angle). Those must have been left out.
