No dealer didn't install . Was given to us in a box with instructions that we followed to install. And no I did not hit anything for if I did going 100mph+ The whole splitter and the under carriage would've been gone . Sorry the story is so vague . It didn't really "flew" off it just came undone from the front and started scraping everywhere and chunks went flying . Yes we followed the directions word by word and used the provided hardware. I just want possible solutions and where can I get a new one if there are nothing else I can do . I have extended warranty but I doubt they will cover this.

Well I would go to ford and order one. But as you know something caused it to come off
Bad install, hit something, etc. I would make sure you knew what it was, before installing another one.

Maybe let the dealer install this one so if something happens again it will be on them.

There is one thing you should check underneath the car, if you didn't already, because many GT 350s are being loaded onto trucks the wrong way and are getting damaged without owners knowing it. GT 350s are supposed to backed onto the lower level of the trailer, but many are being pulled onto the trailer front-end first. That causes the underside of the front bumper cover to scrape along the ramps and floor of the trailer, causing damage to several molded-in loops for the tabs on the air dam to lock into before you attach the screws to secure the air dam in place. This happened to my GT 350 that I refused delivery of (for this and many other reasons), and I've seen pictures of the tabs being completely ground off due to truck drivers not following Ford's loading instructions. Without those tabs being able to lock into the loops, the back edge of the air dam wouldn't be totally secure.

I agree. I think it was you and I that noticed a car loaded inappropriately and called it out on a recent thread. This is crap! It's a shame that simple instructions are not followed and thus can adversely affect someone's purchase.

The dealerships should be managing these foul ups and doing a thorough inspection on a lift prior to install. You can bet that I'll be watching my R come off the trailer for these specific reasons.

First, what do you mean where would I go to get new ones..? Why wouldn't the Ford Dealer be the first and only choice that crossed your mind?

Secondly, and more importantly, who buys a $50K+ car and has their Dealer give you a box of parts w/ instruction and tells YOU to put the parts on your car.. ?



Take your car back and tell them to properly install your front spoiler. It doesn't matter if the spoiler they gave you is messed up... it wouldn't be if THAT dealer didn't neglect their customer, or their job and installed it properly before taking delivery of car.

The splitter sits low to the road. Perhaps he hit a pothole traveling at a rate of speed too high to allow for avoidance...hence the "driving too fast" and the "caught" comments.

It's not really THAT low. I'm use to driving cars that scrape speed bumps, etc. with the front lip. This car is practically a 4x4 comparatively.

I will be since I'm transporting my car to CA after its delivered to my dealer.

My car was loaded improperly. The bottom of the bumper cover was scrapped, but nut to a point where the splitter couldn't snap in. The install is very straight forward and would seem damn near impossible to just "fly off" without some sort of serious FUBAR.

My car is not here yet and originally i was going to install myself.
I have since decided to let the dealer do for 2 reasons, one any issues its their problem.
2 I can do a proper inspection on bottom of car before I take it.
Note any issues and they become fords problem.
I am lucky I know the Shelby trained tech at my dealer.
He knows me, going to put carpet on lift so won't scratch bottom LOL.
He is as car crazy as us and know how he will treat my car

Same here.

I'm going to ask that a pic be taken of the car while on the transporter before it is driven off and then straight to the lift.

If all checks out, I'll be driving that puppy home WITH the dealer-installed front spoiler.
