No arguing the sound........Im not even going to bother trying any sort of exhaust combo on this car after having V8s until now. In the V6 section people keep posting their different exhaust videos telling eachother how awesome they sound.........I cant bring myself to do it.....I tried to convince myself a setup or two I heard sounded good, but then I realized I was just trying to sell myself on it because I feel the mustang in general should not be quiet.
Somewhere on this site I've heard a couple of S550 V6 videos with aftermarket exhausts, and they sounded pretty good IMO. Just as good as any other high performance V6 like the GTR, etc.

If any of you V8 guys with sarcastic comments wanted a real performance car, you should have got a hellcat :)

Anyone bashing the V6 isn't a real car guy/gal, and is rather insecure. All the S550s are great performance cars. Don't think so? Drive a camry.

Here are a couple of videos - check out posts #26 and #45...Hooker Blackheart axle backs and cat backs. There's no way any V6 will ever match the sound of a V8, but I think these sound pretty good for a V6:

That's the exact spec car I originally ordered. Low 5s easily for 0-60. Heck of a fun car.
it takes enormous power increase (ignoring power/weight ratio) to get a marginal improvement in 0-60 once you go beyond the v6, 5-6 second 0-60. 8-10k extra for a GT gets you into the 4's, and another 10k for a supercharger, minus a warranty might get you below 4.0 assuming the tires and drive train can hold.

V8's are going the way of dinosaurs. Wait til they put this ECOBOOST in a Mustang. It will happen.
Undoubtedly will, but not so sure I'd want that under the hood of a DD. Just got an e-mail from Five Star Stone Mountain... got their first GT350 in today. 2 more +1 "R" on the way. Waiting on "today's" dealer markup adjustment. Better hurry! ;)

That garbage makes a GT look like its the griswalds station wagon
But it STILL needs to go on a diet. Yeah, I know the GT is heavy, but that Mopar is obese. BTW... I liked the Griswald's station wagon. Weren't they headed to "Waldorf World"?

That is all...

As a 22 year old, everyone in my generation views the V6 as the rental car or the high school girl's car. Honestly I didn't want to be known as the dude that had a V6 mustang. A turbo I4 sounds much cooler and more interesting.

Other reasons I opted for the ecoboost:
1. Performance pack available
2. Leather seats available (I got the premium)
3. Turbo sounds are cool
4. Car has the potential for big power with a big turbo

That being said, I think the V6 is a really strong engine. Good power output for a 3.7L. Stock for stock and in a straight line, I bet the V6 and ecoboost will be pretty close.

The biggest factor between base EB and base V6 is probably cost to add power. For a Cobb accessport and intercooler, Ecoboost owners can gain somewhere around +20hp and +80 ft/lb of torque. I heard of some folks supercharging or turbocharging the older gen V6, but that's probably more costly.

As a 22 year old as well, all my friends view the ecoboost the same way as you view the V6...
