I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the MMR CAI for the 5.0L. People seem to be happy with them on their ecoboosts. I just haven't seen anything on them in the GT/Coyote section yet.

Here's the link to it: http://www.teambeefcakeracing.com/150780.html

Anyone who has one want to shed some light? Tune or no tune (says no tune required)? Dyno?

Short story they suck. Customer service is crap. They come in here and say the exact opposite of what they tell you in the phone and criticize for providing "false information". On top of that the part does not fit the stock hoses. When I pull mine off its going to break a second intake quick connect (already had to replace one when they shipped me a screwed up part to start.)

More importantly though the part is crap. They claim no tune but it is just awful during the "break in period". It had terrible lag and stutters under any acceleration. Once out of the break in it backfires out the intake randomly and sounds like it's blowing up part of your engine. Tried to get this resolved and they claimed my CATBACK exhaust was increasing airflow beyond their "no tune" claim and I would require a tune and it's not their problem.

Edit: for more info there are some threads on here started by myself and a few other members.

I tossed into the garbage my MMR intake only two hours after I fixed it on my GT and I understood it had a better place where to end up instead under my Mustang hood, I would not recommend it, it's a piece of crap without a tune...

With a tune I don't know but I bought it because the ads claimed ''no tune needed''...If the builder said the true I would had saved a few hundreds keeping the OEM intake which BTW works a million times better then the MMR..

Does anyone have this intake on their tuned car? How does it perform?

I know it's not the same engine but I have one on my tuned ecoboost. I like it, it performs well. It's cheaper then most others too.

Well, I am thouroughly dissapointed with the lack of feedback from MMR... I PM'd them 10/24/2015 at 9:09 PM.... It was not the first time I had tried contacting them either about their parts. Does anyone know if they are just not active on the forum anymore? What is the issue! I see them promoting occasionally on the ecoboost sections of the forum but I cant seem to get a single response from them!
