There are quite a few GT350s advertised on Autotrader and Cargurus. Many at the MSRP and then the "dealer price" being the same as MSRP. Some even advertise at a discount from MSRP.

Why then, when you contact them, are the cars already sold but they have another "on the way" at MSRP plus $15k. And THEY ALL ARE $15k over.

Am I being cynical?

Check out the $ on ebay. Most are white with blue strip. Two for over $100,000

Several have gone for $10,000 over. Only a few for $5000 plus

That is crazy IMO. Essentially we pay an additional $$ for what is basically a souped up rental car?

I must admit I am baffled by your statement. If you do not understand what this car is, that is fine, but to call it what you did indicates a lack of understanding and appreciation for what Ford has accomplished and a lack of passion for cars that are of a truly special nature.

But that is OK, as ignorance is bliss and you are entitled to your bliss. It will not diminish the value of the GT350 to those who understand and have true appreciation for the uniqueness and special nature of this remarkable automobile........Steve

Since I already have mine coming, I still look at autotrader for fun and wondered if they really were selling for MSRP as advertised.

It is rather unfortunate that dealers are purposely misrepresenting the actual price of the car.

The fact that Ford produces a lower volume is good. However the dealers exploiting the vehicle are not. Especially with the misleading advertisements. Pretty much bait and switch.

I think the body styling subtleties between a 2016 GT350 and a '16 GT are about the equivalent of the body styling differences between a 2014 GT500 and a '14 GT (and the same for previous years' iterations). You're right in that the common person will never know the magnitude of the differences. But I strongly disagree that this is just a souped-up rental car.

And misleading advertisements are always so shady... I can't believe they really use the bait and switch so much, but if people will still pay for it -- who can blame the dealerships? Really, the frustration should be with the consumers who still pay them their price and let them get away with those types of things.

This is standard procedure on any in demand high performance car they advertise at MSRP and then you call........
