Great times for mt82 cars you guys. Good driving.. Hope to see more of these numbers and less of the 12.9-13.1 garbage, lol.

Thanks guys! First of all, Happy Turkey Day!!! Did anybody else eat too much like I have? Lol

I used the d/a calculator from drag times and it shows the d/a to be at -650feet at the time of these passes. Is the weather data from this website legit?

I weighed the car bone stock on a 4 corner pro scale and with an 1/8th of a tank it was 3640. Not sure how much weight the x-pipe and mufflers saved me but it sure does sound better. I have a video of one of the passes but I'm not sure how to upload it here.

I bet you saved 20-30 lbs from the exhaust mods. I know my Roush AB saved almost 20lbs alone.

That's what I was thinking as well. Car really needs some tires now to get any kind of decent 60ft but I'm not sure I care to do that right now anyways.

What kind of hp #'s you making? What mods?

My last run at the track I ran 12.77@117 with 622rwhp, stupid connector popped off my cyl 2 injector I saw SES light let off before 1/8 mile, was scared I broke something. I now have more power, some M/T's waiting to be mounted and headers waiting to go on with new torco tune smaller pulley; I'm right around 700rwhp (dyno soon) hoping for something respectable. These manual cars are so hard to launch properly.

Great job.

I never had the car dyno'd before. It has a lethal x-pipe and borla mufflers as its only mods. The car is factory besides that. Your car sounds like it has a lot more left in it. You'll get it there it just takes time and experience.

Appreciate it, I wasn't expecting it to go quite that fast but close, the air was really good that day and the track was prepped well. 60ft was soft but that was my doing. Easy bogged launch the full throttle after that with no spinning. Just some wheel hop on the 1-2.

Was just checking your numbers out from both your passes at the track. I was at our 1000ft. track 2 months ago, it was much warmer in September but my pass was almost exactly the same thru the 1000ft. I'm heading to Memphis this Saturday for some test and tune action, it's a full 1/4 track so I'm hoping for some great times. I'm looking to hit that 12.7x

Yet again, I don't see the gain in having 3.73's in my PP car. I run out of gear way to fast in 4th at the road course too. The optimal set up would be a T56 with the 2.92 first and 3.73's IMO.

I'm sure in similar weather you could easily replicate these passes. It was definitely a good day to be at a track. Are you on stock rubber as well?

I agree, the 3.73's are overkill for these cars with the mt-82 unless you were tuning and turning up the limiter but even then the power falls off with the factory intake warranting a intake swap. Especially with a tire shorter than 28"s. By the time you do full bolt ons you could basically have a blower or a nitrous kit.

These trap speeds are definitely a few MPH high IMHO.

Went to the track Sunday to help a buddy dial in his car and ended up making a couple passes in my GT. On the stock 235 all seasons so mainly just wanted to see what it would trap.

The track prep was awesome so it didn't spin, I just bogged the launch to save from breaking it. E/T isn't setting the world on fire but the car back halved really strong.

2015 GT: Base Non PP 3.31 MT-82
Mods: x-pipe, Borla Mufflers other wise stock
Awesome trap with ur mod! 11.70s with DRs. I was there last Friday. You need my CAI & a tune...low 11s with these.

Thanks man,I didn't think it had it in it.

I felt the same, the first pass was a fluke I thought. The second pass backed it up. Is a 25-26mph back half abnormal?

I wondered what it would do with a tune myself. Prolly at least a 2mph gain, and some wheels/tires would be nice but breaking my daily doesn't or loosing my warranty. Lol :(

You went to NPR?
