I'm in the same boat, the price of catted stainless power headers is insanely cheap. But I'm worried about the quality and sound... I really want a Kooks set up..premium stuff. You do get what you pay for after all..

Well they are apparently the same thing as the stainless works just with a three year warranty. There's been a bunch of people that have bought them. I haven't seen anything negative about them here yet.

there are some slight differences between the collector size (2 3/4 vice 3) from what I have seen. I have a set of SPs in the garage and compared them side by side to my SW headers. They are a quality header for sure.

If that's the case then I definitely don't want SP. I want to maintain the 3" with no neckdowns to my Corsa Sports. I haven't seen or had confirmed that Kooks makes any with a 3" performance connect.

so far it doesn't smell bad according to 3 people in Florida. 2 people not in florida think it does smell bad and a third says only while stopped.

maybe the fishy ocean smell is overbearing?

My gt500 or 04 cobra smelled while catless. None of the 4 subarus have either. My mkiv supra didnt either. The only car that did had a carburetor.

the metal is 304 stainless on the stainless power just like the stainless works.

its not a cheaper grade steel,

the collector is also a 3" collector, it has a slightly different design than the stainless works collector, but it is a 3" collector.

and, we are running a phenomenal deal right now for the holiday!!!

for the $$, it is hands down the best value out there.

arh, kooks, stainless works, and stainless power are all great brands, and we sell a lot of each,

but, for the difference in price, this will get you more goodies for your car

they will be a little quieter, not a ton, but a little...

Performance wise, what are we talking difference in the cat vs catless versions of these SP headers?

My catless setup smells too but it smells like freedom to me. I wouldn't live in a state that had crazy laws like Cali.

Oh ok, I wasn't aware they could be turned off. My mustang is a daily driver for now but FL is not an emission testing state. I ran catless on my Evo and didn't notice any smells...what's that about?

same here! everyone said how horrible it would be and I never noticed anything too bad on my Evo. Maybe just a lil bit if you are sitting in a drive through, but it only smelled of awesomeness.
