ok I already said it was the Ford AU in the licence plate holder thread, but this isnt what we will get.

It has the Track Pack option, and testing some body panels, see those side vents at rear. more pics to come

I was under the distinct impression that we were getting reversing sensors and camera. Why do you say we are not getting them?

Camera - yes
reverse sensors - no

My understanding of Rev red, is that when the RPM reaches a certain level the lighting changes to red. Well that's what I thought :shrug:

The window stickers have a disclaimer on them stating that "Standard Equipment List May Not Apply To Export Markets."

The reverse sensors are an optional extra on the UK RHD model (as well as the Shaker sound system and a couple of other things).

We, for whatever reason, missed out.

I would have gladly paid more for the sensors and the Shaker.

Fair enough.

Yes, "Reverse Park Assist" does sound like reverse sensors to me - however in this case it means the reversing camera.

I guess we'll just have to see what rolls off the ship. I am very confident that we don't get the sensors and will backflip naked and enthusiastically across the deck of the Parsifal if proven to be incorrect.

I believe that the "rear parking aid" refers to the proximity lines that appear on the screen when the reversing camera is active.

Having said that, I find it quite disturbing that we are still debating standard equipment inclusions after 3000+ orders have been placed and when the first deliveries are imminent.

Could not agree more......Ford Oz have had a couple of years knowing exactly what is going to be on these cars and are utterly unable to communicate it effectively to their customers.:doh:

Those two items were a page apart on the list and hardly connected. Any rear camera comes with the lines you mentioned as they are part of what appears on the screen.
Apart from all that, I had my dealer check with Ford Australia to see if we were getting rear parking sensors and the answer was...YES!
