VMP TVS kit getting it done on 20's!!!

Hey guys, wanted to post up my results from today at Rockingham Dragway. I have a 15 Premium Auto with 3.15's, VMP TVS Stg3 kit with a 79mm pulley/11psi, Lund tuned remotely by Ken Bjonnes on 93 pump. I also have a full kooks exhaust with hi flow cats, DSS driveshaft, BMR performance springs, toe rods, vertical links, cradle/diff bushings. All of the work was done locally by Boosted Performance in Mooresville, NC.



I drove 2hrs to the strip, lowered my MT ET Street 305/35-20's down to 18psi and went 10.80 at 134.86 on my first pass, later backed it up with another 10.85 at 134mph. I'm running 93 octane with 2 gallons of 116 for safety. For those that care, I averaged 17.5mpg over 4+hr's of stop/go driving including all pass's at the strip and a good 7-8 WOT pulls on the way home, 1000ID's and a BAP.

My VMP kit has given me ZERO problems since day 1, not a single problem with the install and my Lund tune has been rock solid with zero issues. I can't say enough good things about this combo, drives amazing around town but will unleash an obscene beast at the drop of the hammer.

Thanks, not sure on plugs and gap, whatever came in my VMP kit. You'll definitely need drag radials, haha!

You won't see a whipple trapping 134mph on 11psi/93 pump and 20" wheels.

Thanks! I was pretty happy with a 1.62 & 1.63 on my heavy 20's with 35mm sidewall's, stock stall and 3.15's. I don't think it's going to get any lower on my current setup, but my 60's will definitely drop with just a set of Welds. 3.55's would be best, but it's a huge PITA to swap from a 3.15. I'd consider a 3C but want to see what happens with just a set of Welds, keep my 3.15's for highway rolls.

Not to take this off topic but can you fill me in on what is so great about welds? Maybe I should make new post in wheel and tire forum

Well, I simply prefer Welds as opposed to any other drag pack f/r. Other brands like RaceStars get the job done but I prefer forged/lightweight, 76lbs lighter then my Chicanes. I've had a few sets of them, drastically dropped my et's.
