So I have a dilemma. I have a 2015 whipple mustang premium PP. What would you do? Keep Building my mustang I have now. I have been looking at getting gt350 recaros if they are ever sell them seperatly. Half shafts, tremec t56 magnum xl drive shaft, drag radials etc. I probably would take it to the drag strip a couple times a year but I have been getting really interested in tracking the car. Which the supercharged won't help. Should I keep it or go for the Shelby. Which looks awesome, has the recaros, Magneride shocks, unique engine big brakes etc? This is a fun toy it isn't my daily driver but I do drive my cars. My mustang is a year old and I put about 7k miles a year. What to do?

Put some good tires, pads, and dampers for the track and go for it. If the motor does not like the road track sessions then maybe reconsider. Wait for the hype to settle down though. Seems like the ADM's are getting higher now that they are hitting lots. Sounds like you got a great car!

Chief has a good point. This car won't compare to the torque thrust u have with the GT. If you track prepare the GT you'll have the best of both worlds.

I try and stay away from "what would you do" threads, but I will make an exception. Hands down w/o doubt get the GT350! That thing is the holy grail of Mustangs IMO.

Is it possible to have both? Have the GT for drag and the GT350 for track. The GT350 is more advanced and if I had to choose I would go with the GT350. Its a more special vehicle and would hold its value. Even if its a toy.

If you don't care about holding its value, I think if you mod your mustang further for track use, you will have similar performance to the GT350.

Value wise doesn't bother me as much. I would wait till summer to find a gt350 Msrp or even a slightly used one for a little cheaper. I just don't know if I would be bothered by the power hit I would be taking vs getting a car that's extremely balanced rare and has a lot of soul to it. I have always wanted a Shelby. Which I probably wouldn't mod much cuz it has all the stuff I want on it already. Oh the decisions.

Sounds like that last comment made your decision for you. Get the 350!

Good luck on your quest brother.

Hmm how about demod & return to stock, sell your aftermarket parts, and then get a GT350? IMO that's what I'd likely do...

After coming out of the whipple 5.0, the gt350 will feel like it isn't moving. If you like lots of acceleration stick with the whipple if you don't mind going for something slower with killer looks and great track capability then go for the gt350.

I'll have a buyer for your whipple kit if you return to stock [emoji16]

See the downfall of the whipple right now is I have mad traction issues 2 and 3rd are spinning. The whipple would have to stay on because I snapped a iMrc sensor on my shock intake when I was installing it. Plus I'd have to buy new heater tubes cuz you have to cut those when you are installing the whipple. Before I bought my 5:0 I was really considering a e92 m3. I love v8s that like to rev. I ended up with the 5.0 because the m3s have no torque. Well in comes the gt350 that's revs to 8250 and has torque and I'm like I want like right now lol.

The GT with a blower will be more fun on the street, at least from an acceleration point of view and the GT350 will be more fun on the road course.

I can tell you that for a novice like me the GT has a lot to offer on the road course. A lot of the things that reviewers like about the Voodoo engine are already present in the Coyote, such as the high winding and wide power band. If you haven't run it you might want to try before spending a bunch of money. Of course from your statements it seems like money isn't a big deal to you, but I thought I should at least mention it.

I'm not looking to buy a GT350 because the regular GT isn't enough for me on the road course. It's more the idea of what Ford did in building a FPC engine. I've always been a Ford guy and the GT350 strikes me as a very special vehicle.

I can't condone the more fun on the street statement ... Have you driven a 350? The engine sound alone made me forget the 500+ ft-lbs torque of my GT500.

That's a good point. It is why I qualified my statement with "from an acceleration point of view". The guy spent a lot of dough on a blower for his GT. I think Coyotes usually make well over 600 HP with a blower add on. So going to a GT350 he will see a significant decrease in HP and torque, especially at street legal speeds.

I do agree that the GT350 exhaust note, selectable exhaust modes, Magneride and other features might make it more fun for most people. Most people don't spend the money to add a blower to their GT, though.
