I'm getting kind of bored with 830... to each their own I guess. I got beat by a 725rwhp C7 Stingray... damn car is a pig from a 50.

Once my bucking issue is solved and the new fuel system goes in, I am going to strap a 75 shot on it. That or I'm just going to sell it and buy a Viper.

^ This. 500 HP ? You should have just gotten a BAse 350 and tuned it. I guess you could go with a base vortech or paxton system with a big pulley, but that would put you in the mid 500 easily I would think....

I did not read through ALL of the threads but whats with the 500 number ?
Well it certainly isn't 500 Exact or nothing. I do not want to take the civility out of the car to the point it sits like my 03 Cobra. My wife and inexperienced sons drive the car as well.

I want a 500HP Mustang with an Automatic, great interior and decent stereo. I have everything but the 500HP I do want the ragged edge of tech, popping half shafts and twisting the sh1t out of the frame until it creaks and rattles.

I had originally planned on getting my GT that I have and supercharging it to the tune of 550 to 600HP. Seems like a good number for the street to me. Use-able horsepower without having to mod the fuel system, suspension and rear end. I want a factory OEM quality, no bullshit data logging, breaking parts, idle issues, shipping the car to Roush, sending the computer back and forth and then stepping further and further away from the car I bought with each mod. You guys into that are fine by me, my hobbies are different.

Why do you have to jump from 435 straight to 675? What about 150HP kit bringing to 585? Seems logical to me as a non drag racer.

he thinks more than that 'is too much for the street, its useless'

Not sure if that is an exact quote from me, don't think I ever said that.

It is useless without sticky tires and half shafts and I am not going that route.

Even if you are not a fan of Procharger his point about centrifugal vs twinscrew is still valid. That leaves you with either Vortech or Paxton for a centrifugal supercharger. The base Paxton head unit will handle a lot more horsepower than the base Vortech unit. Given your goals it sounds like the Vortech V3 (the standard head unit for our cars) will be better suited for you, but they are capable of making closer to 700rwhp if you change your mind down the road. A standard Vortech set up will also probably run you a few thousand less than a twin screw.

His point absolutely is valid, I have been watching Vortech as they said they are working on an Auto kit.

Well, if this is what you want, then I still suggest the Whipple kit with a larger pulley and use the Whipple throttle body. There are numerous customers we and Whipple have here on this very forum using this set-up (minus the larger pulley) and state that the Whipple throttle body offers superior drivability to the stock unit, not to just take our word on it.

Along with the throttle body, opt for the Whipple flare tool to be added in that way you just load the tune and go. No shipping PCM's and no data logging needed.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Gen V?

So put a radial on it, and you'll be fine. You wont break a half shaft on the street, point blank. My girls car is 640whp and its hardly 'useless'

Yes it'll spin its ass off if you don't know what you're doing, but it can also hook when I want it to.

^^ yes, current model. They're just nasty with bolt ons, and even nastier with a little FI.

I was certain I was going to supercharge my 2015 when I chose it over the GT350 (I had an allocation and got my deposit back when I bought my GT)

Now I look at the choices and it seems everyone is in a Dyno sheet induced frenzy where actual performance numbers are thrown out the window for on paper bragging rights.

Spinning the tires trough 3 gears is not on my wish list. Thousands in suspension upgrades to make the car hook and not break all at the expense of my comfortable ride is not on my wish list.

What I am looking for is someone to offer a "Daily Driver" package for those looking for 500 ish RWHP.

Roush seems to be close with the 637 kit but damn, that cutting up the brace and grinding the engine. That is so "Mickey Mouse" to me. It goes against everything I know to be proper in creating an OEM style aftermarket kit.

Whipple, you are my wish. But simply going to a bigger pulley and hoping the canned tune works out just seems a little iffy as well. Can you (Whipple) produce a 600HP kit for the 2015 GT Auto that drives like its factory? I know you can. If you do, I will buy it.

Flame away or jump on board...
We've got a new update coming, it will have a lower power mode via the calibration, therefore, in a matter of minutes, you can have multiple power levels.
