Seems like this is going to be most fun to drive above 4000 rpm even in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gear sustained especially on an accommodating road. Any body who ordered Tech pack concerned about lack of extra coolers for non track use of this car? Wonder what duration of and height of rpm use would be necessary to overheat? Any thoughts as I can still change but likely would never track the car.

IMO I don't know why you would buy this car to stuff it full of tech gear? Most will not DD this car and most will not track thier car. I ordered the track pack hoping to track it a few times a year and maybe a solo or 2. I just don't need all the extra expensive electronics that I will not use in this car my money was better spent on the coolers. All the fancy Navi crap I will keep in my daily driver where it will get used.

Ford has said the Tech and base non optioned cars are good for about 20 minutes of continuous punishment before temps start to creep up.

If I bought a GT350 it would be my DD and I'd want the tech pack. A lot of people don't have a need for a second car.

That's about my commute time to work... the most continuous punishment I ever put into a car! ;) :D

The tech pack is the better option. It is pretty easy to add engine and differential oil coolers. The tranny cooler would be more difficult but easier than trying to retrofit tech items into a track pack. The sync 3 is worth it to me. I will be BLVD cruising most of the time so the upgrades are nice to have.

You still have to add the Recaros and Spoiler. For me, the cost of the genuine GT350 Recaros is what made me want to get the Track Pack. And then of course I wanted Recaros and Tech, so I will be getting the 'R' lol

Have you actually secured an allocation? You seem new to this game, they are extremely limited and essentially all going for well above sticker.

I'm not worried about the lack of coolers even for on-track use.

I ordered the track pack because mine won't be a dd and I wouldn't ever use any of the tech stuff

The problem with the "Tech" in the Tech Pack is that it becomes dated quickly. Three year lifespan at most before being replaced by the next big thing. Depending on how long you want to keep the car it might not be the better option.

Can you define "punishment"? Is it keeping rpms above 6000 for 20 minutes, 5000, etc.? Although ambient temps make a difference, I suspect there is some limit here. Probably unlikely to reach it not on a track as stated but curious to know what it is. And probably just a guess unless one of the lucky ones who has one wants to run it out tomorrow and let us know:)
