Hi there

OK I know that the GT350 is vastly different and superior to the regular GT PP but I was wondering if Ford has released a list of the exact changes between the cars, the obvious is the engine of course but what about the rest such as suspension changes, wheel/tyre size, interior, body panels etc.

When BMW released the E46 M3 CSL they released a list of every change which I think was about 146 components were changed.

So I just wondered if such a list existed between the Mustang GT, 350 and 350R anywhere?

Yes I have searched but can't find anything, apart from PR releases that mainly talk about the engine.

Differences I know of on the base GT350 with no options:

Better brakes

MPSS 295 front 305 rear tires

Lighter aluminum wheels than GTPP

Different body panels from the windshield forward

Bi mode exhaust with rear diffuser

Better Tremec transmission and shifter

Better dampers, springs, and sway bars

Engine

Recaro seats standard

That's off the top of my head. I don't know of an itemized list yet.

I know the track is wider as well, be interesting if Ford achieved this just by fitting wider different offset wheels or if the actual suspension components (wishbones etc) are also different.

What are the wheel sizes on the GT350?

19x10.5 f
19x11 r

The front hubs are redesigned to give clearance for the wider front wheels. They're also lighter and have better bearings.

In addition to what's been listed:
Carbon radiator brace
Different geometry aluminum front knuckles
Magneride (if you get track or tech pack)
Snake steering wheel
Brushed finish gauge pods instead of chrome

Fixed.

As well as a lower hood line, specific A pillars, specific wider fenders, specific bumper, front aero splitters, symmetrical rear spring configuration, specific suspension knuckles, stiffer suspension bushings, specific half shafts, and I'm sure I'm missing a few things.

Also:

Aluminum front bumper beam
Brakes are two piece, cross-drilled and vented - F 394mm/ R 380mm
Recaro seats are cloth/Miko suede in front, Miko suede rear (for non R)
Shelby Exclusive aluminum instrument panel & trim package
Steer wheel is leather/Alcantara wrapped

Track Pack and R cars have, in addition:

Aluminum tower to tower brace (as opposed to stamped steel)
Engine oil, transmission and differential coolers
Heavy duty front springs

Of course, R cars have CF wheels with wider Cup tires, and different wing/splitter

The real difference I want to know are performance numbers @ this point. I know I'm beating a dead horse.

I think when Ford themselves say they weren't quoting acceleration times because this car is more about being a complete track package (source Motorweek) it tells you the numbers aren't going to be phenomenal and instead just respectable (low 12's high teen low 20's trap) for this power level and weight. Not sure how fast you need it to be before consider buying it. It's a bit cutoff in your sig. but it looks like u may have ordered already

The actual performance numbers that count for this car will be track times versus others cars. In a straight line it won't be as fast as a Hellcat, but on a track it will be faster than many others running on the same track driven by the same driver under similar conditions. Just like rating a beautiful woman - it is more than the sum of the parts such as weight and measurements :)

No one is expecting hellcat speeds. Just good decent numbers and not acceleration speeds of a base Camaro SS while making more HP and paying a $20-30k premium over it. You can say your fast on the track, but most of the time your on the street unless your using as a dedicated track car.

I love the car and have it ordered but I don't plan on leaving it stock.
