There are a few on board but I think they are just for Ford Aus use only
That's what I was told by the gentleman from Ford Australia that called me on Monday.

Crazy... Still no phone call which makes me more nervous... I really don't want to wait until March next year for this car
March, March next year.
OH I wish mine was March Next Year:lol:

Patience is a virtue they say.

Well whomever penned that quote never had to a wait for a Mustang:frusty:

Got my phone call today as well (Monica). She basically knew only as much as I (we) do.She also spoke of the new email process that will provide us with updates on the cars as they make they're way from the factory to us (I reserve the right to remain pissed off with Ford Aus when these don't come)

Also took the opportunity to provide some feedback on the experience so far but don't know what if anything will be taken on board.

My dealer basically said that it's gonna be 12 weeks from gate release date to landing at the dealership so that makes mine an end of Jan delivery (2 months later than my original eta)

Off to drink more (a lot more) beer now........

Your car will be three months from the build date, thats the case for everyone unfortunately

What I don't understand is how ford got this so wrong. Did ford au not know of the build process and timing? To push cars back 2 months before a car is delivered seems like a bit of bullshit to me. They must have known they would be late all along and just bank on nobody cancelling because of the wait and lack of competitor at the price point

Bruce got told this afternoon by the dealer sales manager that nothing is shipping on the Parsifal and the cars booked on it will be assigned to the next boat and that the Fidelio leaving Nov 8 and the Tarago leaving Nov 20
should both be heavily loaded with our cars
Lets hope somebody gets something correct sometime!
I had a call on Tuesday from the General Manager of Sales at Ford Motor Company of Australia to confirm details around the shipment of my Mustang from the USA this week and to confirm delivery processes and dates. He confirmed my GT is on the PARSIFAL so I would hope a GM would be better informed than a Dealer Sales Manager.

If no cars ship on the PARSIFAL ... I think it would be fair to say it's going to hit the fan.

Well its in port now and loading so get your fan ready, but logically your man should know more than mine.
Send me your vin no. privately and I'll keep my eye on it to see if its status changes today
Also read now on the WW website that there are delays at the Panama canal of up to 10 days due to maintenance
What else can go wrong?
Cheers

Not much logic going on at :ford:

I'm in the US this week so watching PARSIFAL cargo ID loading status changes for 1FA6% all the time LOL When TAMESIS sailed a lot of the VIN's didn't get loaded until just hours before it sailed.

Brilliant re Panama Canal ... can any more delays be inserted into the process ? I reckon the next one will be Ford Australia's QA process they are going to go through at the dock in Melbourne for every single car before they release them for shipment across Australia.

You can't make this sh#$ up !!

Are you psychic?
That's exactly what Ford NZ are planning.!
To quarantine all the cars until every one has been individually checked and then release them to the dealer network
That may be so close to Xmas by then I'll probably tell them to hold it until the new year and register it as 2016
Probably go up to the dealers in the meantime and sit in it and have my lunch or take the family up there and have a picnic
Happy Days!!

I am on a PARSIFAL ETA update email. It was 7 hours late docking so it may be early hours of Friday before it sails.

PARSIFAL changed ETA from 27 Oct 2015, 13:00:00 -0400 to 27 Oct 2015, 20:00:00 -0400. - Loc: North Atlantic Ocean, US to BALTIMORE at 27 Oct 2015, 19:05:02 -0400

I was doing some reading and found an interesting article about a 2016 mustang recall.

Ford is recalling 112,601 cars in three separate U.S. actions this week, among them the 2016 Ford Mustang for seatbelts that might have been damaged during shipping, the company said.
"Certain 2016 Mustangs have seatbelts and child-seat anchors that may have been damaged in transit prior to final assembly at Flat Rock, which means they might not perform up to snuff when they’re really needed. Dealers will replace all the belts, assemblies, rear buckles, and rear anchors on 1900 cars, the majority of which are sitting on dealer lots, as they were built less than a month ago."

I wonder if this has had something to do with the delay?
