Just read that also. No way the Z28 comes close to the R for driving enjoyment and lap times, at least the current one. The next one however who knows.
I still don't think there's going to be another Z28. I think they'll try to make the new ZL1 the all around car, replacing the old ZL1 and Z28. I see no future for a large displacement and/or high power NA GM engine.
