Not everyone has to bench race. Get some actual experience and you wont have to.
You're so witty. You bitch about me not being specific but then you bitch because you think the number I got from an ET estimator on the INTERNET isn't specific enough. Get a grip. Keep patting yourself on the back, it makes you look like such a stellar guy.

If I just agree that you know it all, will you STFU?

I should add - I'd be happy to meet you at a dragstrip to show you my lack of experience and deflate that ego of yours. Let me know when you get your GT350.

Ah crap. I just noticed at the very end of the GT350R dyno, it shows a K&N filter installed. I would think a reputable tester would make sure the car was 100% stock. I have mixed feeling about what a K&N does, good or bad - so I'm not arguing that, but rather that it should have been done 100% stock.

I just saw that too. That's crap. For what it's worth, I'm sure that stock filter is just as free flowing. I agree with you though.

hard to tell, low light, perhaps just a dirty stock filter. It already had a a cone filter form the factory

Maybe but it looks suspiciously like a K&N...and considering where they are ;)

Yes very possible, it does appear to have that distinct purple tint. But i agree, dont think it would matter much vs a stock cone filter.

That's a manual.. Dcts run 3.8 0-60 and 12.0-12.1 @ 118mph.

Looks like the m4 will be giving the TP the walk..

Haha I remember when people here flamed me for saying the M4 might be faster. Well guess what, manual vs manual, they are exactly the same despite the 100 hp difference on paper.

And a DCT M4 will walk a GT350 and is still faster than an R...http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2015-bmw-m4-dct-automatic-test-review

Funny world we live in, the Germans are building the straight line monsters and the domestics are building the corner carvers

Yep, m3/m4 is one of the all around best cars right now.

I don't get why people are so hung up on acceleration from a stop. The 350 isn't set up to launch. Neither was the Z28. So, an M4 is faster than a Z28 in a drag race, and 350 non R. It's pretty much even with an R in a drag race. So what? Where are all the people hating on the Z28 because of that? They're not because they know that's not what it's built for.

Low to mid 12s are respectable. Not spectacular, but they're just not set up for the quarter mile. They need stickier tires for one. The 350 would have to be launched at pretty high RPM to really take advantage of the engine from a dig. With some tires and a more aggressive launch, I'm sure it will be a different story. Until then, just take it for what it is. It's a road racing car for the street.

I'd happily sacrifice a few tenths in a straight line for the sound and feel of the voodoo over the computer enhanced-sounding M4.

That said, wait for a few more instrumented tests of the 350.

I know my way around a quarter mile track. I'm not awesome, but I've had plenty of experience. I'm aware that the MPH shows that they're capable of much better, I was just pointing out that the only direct competition for them right now, the Z28, ran pretty much the same as the 350 and a tad slower than the R in stock trim with MT driving all of them. They're road racing cars, so drag racing in stock trim may not be stellar. That's all. The R should run low 11s@122 with a hard launch I'd guess.
Okey dokey. I agree about the trap, thats definitely where it should be for the R. I feel 11.4s could be hit on stock tires. Im feeling the base will only get 11.7s with 119s tires again being the limiting factor

Its not that it wasn't specific. Its that is not even close to right. I have a firm grip. I couldn't care less how it makes me look. Im not here to be everyones buddy. Im very confident you don't possess the skills to impress me. I wont be buying a gt350. I just sold my 14 gt500 to get a 16 gt which will be a better drag car in terms of dollars spent to get deep into the 8s. Getting a gt350 would be a step back in the wrong direction. You seem pretty aggravated, why you are getting so worked over the Internet is silly and beyond me. Not that i care for your reason either. Just an observation
