What tuner to go with. So much good results from both.

Lund + JLT
Livernoise + Windstorm

Im torn. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

This forum seems to be pretty Lund fan boy heavy but there is good reason to be since he's one if the best at what he does. I would have to say though, recently I have seen more and more threads popping up showing that his tuning is showing some bugs here and there.

I can tell who I will be going with without a doubt. LIVERNOIS.

I created a thread a few weeks ago and tagged 6-7 tuners/vendors that are closely associated with custom tuning. Only 1 of them responded and it was LIVERNOIS. It's also nice that they created their own software to tune with which shows they are more than capable of tuning in my opinion.

They also offer free re-tunes on your vehicle, no matter what mod you install as long as the car doesn't have to go on "their" dyno. This includes re-tuning for a FI kit at a later time as long as you are the original owner of their tuning device.

Just my .02 cents.

Lund Racing is definitely the way to go. We're Lund Racing's largest dealer and keep their nGauges as well as the JLT intakes in stock.

Here's a link to our power packages.

Seriously not trying to start a tuners war with this question but can either of you say what is actually different between a Lund tune and a Livernois tune that makes a Lund tune better??? I see that you say it is "hands down the best tune" and "it's the tune to run".

Tell us specifically why............

Honestly not trying to be a rude. I've ran Lund tunes in the past that I purchased through Beef and I didn't have any issues from it.

The knowledge and access' they have to make the tunes do what they want them to do.

In addition, the ngauge is far superior than the hypertech box. the ability to datalog the car alone makes a ton of difference, we can look at logs, and see what we need to see to help make changes, or, see if there is an issue with the car, such as a bad 02 sensor, or something that could help diagnosis,

I'm not Lund Racing nor am I qualified to speak like a calibrator so telling you the details about what's different between the 2 tunes isn't something I'll be able to do.

I do know that Lund Racing tunes most of the quickest cars in the country. Look at all of the records they hold compared to any other tuner in the Ford market and that should be enough proof that Lund Racing is the way to go.

Lund Racing is also always at the front of the pack in regards to their knowledge and experience in Ford tuning.

Hope that helps.

livernois.

not only for their tune, but for the fact they don't use SCTx4.

Good morning guys, we appreciate all of the compliments and mentions!

We do work very diligently to ensure that we are producing the best products, best customer service and support possible. We are aware that we are not the cheapest option in the marketplace, but we do not aim to be the cheapest. The reasoning for that is that we would need to cut corners in order to be cheap. That is not how we operate. Our target clientele are the guys and girls that are after the best engineered, developed and tested tech and products out. Gauges and graphs do not make a tune better or faster. We know that flashy graphs and gauges are cool, and we might look into that in the future as we can derive more accurate info from the OBD port. :gossip:

Our tuning whether it be remote or dyno encompass a TON of other benefits! We do not charge you for tune tweaks or updates based upon your basic mods. We do not charge for additional maps. Our MyCal tuners can hold multiple tunes PLUS your stock file. What more could you need? You decide that you want to add a Whipple? ProCharger? Cool, we will tune the kit if you get it from us! We have done dozens! If you add some insane swap, prototype part or something crazy like that of course we are not going to remote that. We would want to have the car, as would you.

We spend metric tons of money to stay ahead of the industry from a support standpoint. That is why we have the respect and reputation with the OEMs that we do. We have FIVE 5-axis CNC machines, 3D printer, RMC, 2 flow benches, 3 dynos, 16 lifts and a ton more! We have employees that do math I have never ever seen or heard of before! :hail:

In an industry filled with intake spacers, BOV mods and grille cutouts we are offering actual performance to the entire domestic performance community products and services that you can only get here!

If you have questions that one of the forum members can't answer, call us. We are here to help, and not only with our products! We are a top vendor for all of the large brands!

Sorry Jared but I would have to say that logic is pretty flawed in my opinion. The fastest tunes does not equal the best, plain and simple. It means his tune is on some of the fastest cars that hold some records. As important as the tune is on a car, it's not the ONLY thing that makes the car fast. You could have a tune that advances timing to an unsafe amount, could have less than desirable driving characteristics, that doesn't make it "better", it just makes it faster.

All I'm trying to get at is that, if you can't explain "why" something is better than something else, then you shouldn't say it.

Normally I wouldn't reply to things like these but it seems like anytime a members asks a question asking which one is better than the other, a vendor pops in 3 seconds later stating that they have the best parts and to call them to get hooked. They never explain "why", the parts they are pushing are "better".
