So when are we guessing PRESS cars will arrive then guys. The magazines and websites are still touting December so surely they will get those here for that ? or will Ford risk looking even worse in print (including digital)
Serious question...

Which December? 2016? Because I hope you don't mean they are expecting 2015

The recent Mondeo and Focus launch were delayed. Highly likely this launch will be delayed too. Has to be out of Ford Aus' control I guess, why would they want to spoil the party.

Yeah mate, press/magazine test cars normally arrive on release or before so they can do their true Australian drive review. I read somewhere there were 4 VIN's assigned to a cargo ship to leave this or next month so I am assuming they will be test/press cars ? Wondering if that has been ballsed up too...:headbonk:

Sigh... should have just grabbed that shiny white SLK250 carbon edition early this year. If only I had known what a colossal ford fuck up this would be.

There were 8 mustangs loaded onto a ship called the "TIRRANNA" 2 days ago which is now on its way to Melbourne. They are due to arrive on the 13 of November.

There are 2 convertibles - (1 GT & 1 EB) the remaining 6 are fastbacks (4 GT's & 2 EB's).
I don't think they are for retail customers - possible demo and/or compliance

Thanks Ian, that is a great resume....the last time I was in a tr2 there was no way that slug would have done a 15. The TVR sounds like it would have been fun...they were quirky cars...pretty to look at and then they try to tear your head off. I have not had the pleasure of driving many old English and Euro cars in anger....spent many years cutting rust out of lots of them though back when I had my crash repairs...
The BA would have been a beast....the modular engine was the start of a great new era for Ford engines. The Kenne Bell's have a fairly distinctive howl/whistle....it must have sounded great.
You have summed up all my cars pretty well spot on, Bob. The TVR at the time was an incredibly fast car and so much fun as it only weighed 920kg. Today an FPV V8 or my Jag would leave it behind. It's all relative. I never drag raced the BA, but it would have been down in the 11 secs or maybe high 10s. It did tear your head off!
Ian.

Anyone have any delivery or production updates?

I haven't read anything to suggest any Australian customer cars have have been released from the upfitters / put on a boat yet?

I sent a PM to Deysha over the weekend for an update but haven't heard back yet.

I have had confirmation my GT was released from the upfitters on Oct 2nd and scheduled for an ETA at the Port next Monday.

I think Deysha has been closed down in engaging with Australian customers on Mustang ETA's etc. Not confirmed but just a suspicion given how everyone is no longer receiving updates to private messages.

Hoping to see my VIN on the TAMESIS cargo manifest next Monday :)

Thanks gs60wa - That's positive information to hear! Hopefully there will be a couple of Guard GT's on the TAMESIS!

Is there any other colour ??? LOL

You'll see yours in Brisbane before I see mine in Perth. Looking forward to the posts of everyone's Mustangs as they start to get delivered. 59 days until the scheduled ETA :)

Been a long 2 year wait ! I am in the US week after next so will get to enjoy my up close and personal Mustang fix again before mine is delivered.

More info just came to hand.

If I was a betting man I would say that given my GT has an ETA to the Port of Oct 19th that it will not be on the TAMESIS (sails Oct 18th) and will be on the PARSIFAL that sails Oct 27. I'll leave the comments on missing the Oct 18 sail date by 24 hours given the first production run has sat idle in Flat Rock for some 7 weeks to by contemplated over beers later tonight.

Anyone's ETA to Baltimore before Oct 19th ?

This link gives you details on the likely Baltimore departures and ETA's into Australian ports.

That sucks gs60wa, I imagine you would be feeling less than happy. I cannot comprehend how cars can be built and then sit in the factory yard for so long, especially when they are already sold....it makes absolutely no financial sense....let alone how poorly it reflects on the company itself...

Bobsp12 your on the money mate. I certainly struggle with how in 2015 (a) their supplychain can appear to have so many issues, and (b) how their engagement with customers can be so poor.

On the positive side, the amazing amount of time that you have waited since your deposit gives those with much less patience , like myself, some hope that we can wait it out.

If I used Facebook, I would like to try and friend someone from the couple of Flat Rock pages and try to find out what is really behind these ridiculous delays.
Unfortunately I have an aversion to Facebook.

I was originally told June/July 2016, now the dealer reckons (nothing firm though) it'll drop to May/June 2016 (I ordered May 2015).

Seems you guys just ordered too early; we latecomers are getting our dates reduced, haha.
