Yes, that is exactly what I was trying to convey. Ford certifies to the EPA the motor will achieve at certain fuel economy with a certain level of emissions (regardless if actual output is better than advertised). So either all of the motors are over-rated or all are under-rated, but they cant change fuel mapping between two different trim levels to get two different outputs and still get them certified together with the EPA.Yep, I think that I've made my point about Ford underrating their motors from time to time. The epa has very little to do with that unless the brand is claiming more hp than there really is.
