I am going to get a GT350. I had a chance to get a 2015 but it would've arrived while I was still deployed in like Nov. I have always wanted a supercharged car but im concerned it will take away from the pureness of the car. I now have a premium 2015 gt pp with recaros and a TVS that I was going to install but when I saw that I could actually attain a Shelby I abandoned that idea.
I know that the Shelby will be fast and I already wont be able to use all of the gearing on the street N/A and I will be mostly street driving it. But I just want to be able to beat a z06 or Hellcat or Ferrari if I meet one at the stoplight bc I see a lot of these cars all the time in Tampa.
When I get off of this deployment I will have enough to put down on the car and get a SC so it crossed my mind. I like the Vortech and Procharger kits for the 15 and hope they release one for the Shelby soon. Let me know what you guys think.
Im in a different time zone so don't get mad if I don't respond for a few hours. Were like 8 hrs ahead of yall and peak times on the forum I will prolly be sleep.

Guess you never did a coyote swap? :) What's up man!

Personally, I think the car would be ruined with a supercharger. It's going to be an experience to drive it as-is - and even though it will certainly be fast, there's always someone faster...especially in a straight line.

12:1 compression ratio... I dunno, man. That's pretty high for a blower application. Even the stock Coyote motor is pretty high and that's why many went with the lower compression ratio Aluminator motor when slapping on a blower.

With a blower I would expect you might have to go to E85 or some other source of octane higher than 93. It's too early to know for sure, though. In a few months after the aftermarket has their hands on the Voodoo we will all see what they can do.

Another option is gearing and wider, stickier tires - if you're a fast shifter. It comes with 3.73, but you could step up quite a bit in gearing to improve acceleration from a standing start.

your power potential will be a lot higher on a lower compression motor like the Coyote

All good points guys but if I did sc it I would do a base kit not an all out tuner kit. I am on the fence. But I have always wanted a SC car and ill have the money to do it and im trying to decide before I get a cai and tune. If I decide not to get a SC I will definitely get a tune with a cam lope and cai. I have a whole list of upgrades I want to do at purchase.
its actually kind of short
tint, CF driveshaft, rear seat delete, paint calipers, and resonator delete, cai and cam lope tune if not getting a SC, and move battery to the trunk.

a lot of ppl drop compression to run high boost. I would be running low boost. like 7.5 to 10 lbs.

I guess I just wouldn't want to chance it with such a new motor in such an expensive Mustang. I think I'd be letting some others make that move first to see how durability proves.

I think its already near the N/A limit. placing the drag of a supercharger on the crank seems kind of stupid. It need some turbos

This is such a special car the way it is. I know everyone has an opinion, and I respect that, but given that this will be a limited production car, and many other who want one just as they are, maybe you're better off with modding your GT and/or waiting for the GT500? A blown Coyote will take a Hellcat at a light no problem (700 lbs lighter).

Take it from someone who's driven a GT350...it doesn't need mods. It really doesn't. It is breathtakingly wonderful as it is, and it's purpose is to be a fast track car, not a stoplight drag car.

Why not just get a 13/14 GT500 if you want a great SC car?
