Yup just thrash your engine and drivetrain, make my car more valuable.

Might as well of had just a regular 5.0 and supercharged it no point to have the 5.2 FPC makes all the engineering in the engine pointless

Lets see how long or how many miles till there is a post about a "blown" engine
One car wouldn't be worth more than the other. They are bolt on parts and come off FYI. Not everyone wants to use the car for its intended purpose.
If it blows, oh well, build it. If you can't afford to play then stay stock.

I just don't get why people would spend $$ to make this car faster in a straight line....why pay 60k for a gt350 when you could do the same to a gt for less? Makes no sense. What am I missing

Feeling the need...the need for speed. Maybe that's what you are missing?

I also don't feel the need for more straight line speed...at least not yet!

Trackaholic, don't get me wrong I love speed. I traded in my 650whp MB E63 amg biturbo to buy my gt350.I love speed. But Imo there's a lot better platforms to build on than the gt350 if you just wanna go fast in a straight line. This car has a very specific purpose, and if/when I modify mine it will be towards that purpose. But to each his own I guess.

I just feel like putting forced induction on the voodoo is like a sin. IMO, this car is perfect with intake, mid pipes and a tune.

I'm with you bdub(except intake, full exhhaust/headers, tune and oil seperators). The throttle response with this engine is awesome, and I want to add to that, not distract from it

They probably swap the 5.2 out for a GT motor and then add the supercharger. Then they sell the 5.2 on ebay. Knowing Hennessey

Well I would be happy with just 526HP if these cars weighed 2700lbs, but these S550s are heavy, I think at least 600rwhp at 3800lbs would make them a fun daily driver for me, I looked at the cost of a new 2016 Performance Premium Package($40K-$44K) plus all the upgrades I wanted to do before I even added a blower kit, like the billet crankshaft sprocket gear, billet oil pump gears, half shaft upgrades, manual transmission upgrade, suspension upgrades, grill upgrade, rear diffuser and exhaust, I think I would have more into a GT without a blower than a GT350, I think $57K-$60K for a GT350 track pack is bargain for what I want, I just wish I could get the Recaros in leather
